"Guardian took care of our basement renovation in Somers, and I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out! They added an additional bathroom, which required a new sump pump and sewage ejector pit, redid all the electrical, and even connected us with a reliable architect. They were also a huge help when it came to picking out finishes and making decisions throughout the project. I had a million questions, and they were always patient, took the time to explain everything, and never once made me feel dumb for asking (even though I probably asked way too many!). What I really loved is that they’re a true family business. I got to meet all five brothers and their father, and every single one of them was a pleasure to deal with. "Architecture drawings for a minor remodel were done on time and on budget. The town asked for one update to the drawings and Talo Architect made the update promptly. This update required consulting a licensed engineer. Talo was able to get input from an engineer and update the drawings accordingly very quickly. Talo is a very competent architect. He keeps abreast with the latest building and energy saving techniques by attending training and seminars. I had a great conversation with him about above-sheathing roof insulation - a technique that is highly recommended by building science professionals but not known to many architects and roofing companies. He is also very familiar with net-zero (or near-net-zero) home remodeling. I highly recommend Talo Architect."
