"Bridgetown was prompt in coming out for the estimate, and when I agreed to have them do the work, they were out within a week to do the work. They were conscientious about cleaning up after themselves (grinding mortar creates a huge dusty mess). And, when it was discovered that the mortar in one section of the wall was solid and didn't need to be replaced, they told me that, and lowered the price by $500. They did such a good job that several of my neighbors in the condo assoc. asked them to do repair work too."

They cleaned the thermopile and shortened the thermostat wires. They got the heat back on. They gave me a one year warranty on the service. "Showed up at 9:40 for 9:40 appointment. Job took 30 min. 2 workers. Nathan answered all my questions about the job and related fireplace issues. Happy to report that he stated when he didn't know the answer in depth, but suggested what may be the source of effects. The job was done quickly, professionally and cleanly. Quoted a list of optional improvements (chimney cap, brick cleaning/seal) and repairs (cement flue cap replacement) that should be considered, but that they not a limitation to safe usage of the fireplace. I would hire again."

All went well.  Mike arrived on time and began in the fireplace.  He cleaned the firebox, and connected a vacuum to the chimney to remove the soot from the interior.  He prepared the space well, securing the vacuum and using a drop cloth on the hearth and nearby carpet.  No dust or debris was left and we didn't need to move any furniture.  Mike also inspected the exterior of the chimney, from the ground and from the roof.  He took photos of some damage to the cap and of moss that cant be seen from the ground. He recommended areas that may need attention, and suggested things to better maintain our fireplace and get more years out of it.

We will definitely call them again for any chimney work.
