"This isn't my first review of Holmes Cooling and Heating. I have always given Bart Holmes excellent reviews. I want to comment about how he goes the extra mile. I have my A/C unit replaced in Florida by Bart while I was at my home in Chicago. In spite of this being long distance, it went exceedingly well. Upon return to Florida I called Bart to ask if anything needed to be done. He scheduled a visit and went over the workings of the new machine and showed me how to flush the drainage pipes and clean them with bleach. He told me that the processes will make my unit last longer and likely will help avoid service visits in the future. Remarkably, he didn't charge me for the visit! Bart provides excellent service and stands by everything he does. He is always available and will spend time on the phone, if necessary, to walk you through minor fixes. I have used him for "years" and recommend him with no hesitation whatsoever!!"

"Arrived at 9:30 am. Installation went smoothly. They took away the old system. Very happy with the new Carrier system. They showed me how to program the digital thermostat. I was without AC for a week because my old AC's condenser coil had a leak in the aluminum part. My condenser was mismatched with my air handler/evaporator so the whole system needed to be replaced. These guys did a great job and cleaned up the work debris after."

They were patient with my wife and I to make the decision to move forward as labor costs were a bit of an issue - once we decided to move forward (otherwise why have a heater right?) they were quick to show up with the new heat exchanger and installation. "I originally called my regular service company to come out and look at my ac and they told me I had a bad compressor and should replace my 7 year old system. I called Prestige for a 2nd opinion, and they said my compressor was not the problem. They also told me that my system was still under the manufacturers warranty. They repaired my system for under $300. I will definitely be calling them if I have a problem in the future."

"I initially called for a repair and Anthony came out evaluated our issues and provided honest feedback about cost and life expectancy of our unit. It was nine years old and had issues with draining as well as a busted compressor which shorted out the motor. He advised me that it could be repaired but would cost about half as much as a new unit. He priced out 4 different replacement units for me and explained the difference in power usage and efficiency of each one. He also provided financing information which we did not end up using but was available. We settled on our unit and 8am the next morning two installation techâ s were at my house with all equipment. The old unit was removed and new one in place in about 4 and 1/2 hours. By 1:30 the temperature had dropped from 96 degrees to 84 degrees. They demonstrated the different modes and options on my new thermostat and I could not be happier. All with a 12 year warranty on parts and labor!"
