Cons: sales consultant did not have updated pricing. He did not have business cards. Took 4 days for crew to come out and install new furnace. I received few quotes from multiple HVAC contractors and one of them was SoS Services, Springfield, NJ. SoS wasnt the cheapest but the owner, Rob, seemed very promising so I gave the work to him. My biggest mistake in 2024. We got under contract at the end of October and I have been asking him to put the permits for the work since then, it is Dec 19th today and him or his company has not put in permit paper work to upgrade my home electric, installing new duct work, adding new HVAC and Water heater, installing gas lines inside the house for kitchen, laundry, water heater and HVAC. Gas company is waiting for the inspections report for air test on gas lines which are still not installed before they can put the meter. It is Dec 19th today and weather has been very cold this year in Dec. Work still not completed"

"Alpine installed my Trane heating and air conditioning system 18 years ago. At that time, I decided to purchase a service contract that would allow me to receive 2x a year cleaning and inspection. It was the best investment I could have made! Today their technician Troy came to conduct the preseason service on my air conditioner. My appointment was for 10am and Troy arrived promptly at 10am! During the course of the inspection, Troy discovered that the dual run capacitor was leaking oil. He showed me the part and suggested that it could be a problem down the road. Since the system is 18 years old, I wasn't surprised that there might be a worn part that would need to be replaced. Luckily, he had the part on hand and was able to do the repair right away. Because I had the service contract, I received a discount on the parts and labor which was greatly appreciated. I'm so glad that I called Alpine all those years ago. I highly recommend them for your heating and cooling needs!"
