"My family recently purchased a home that is 10 years old and during the inspection, an issue came up with the safety mechanism that keeps the garage door from closing down on an obstruction (like your car, kid, or pet). I called ABC Garage and the customer service was very thorough in explaining that older models to not have that feature, so she walked me through the various models and pricing in case we wanted to replace the unit. We have young kids, so I knew we'd probably want to go with the upgrade. The day of the service call, the technician arrived promptly and verified that the current system was old enough that it didn't have this safety feature. We discussed the options again (he had all three models in his van) and he installed it promptly. When that was completed, he also showed how the garage door itself could use to be adjusted so it made less noise when opened. I was happy to pay the additional fee to get that resolved. All told, it was a very positive experience - professional, thorough, friendly, and timely. There is a 5-year warranty on the unit and 1-year labor warranty, but I expect this product to last much longer in the future."

He phoned to let me know when he was on his way. When he arrived he got right to work. I am very satisfied with Isaiah's work. "I asked for an estimate on repairing and replacing a rotting stockade fence along one side of our back yard. Mr. Rorer came when he said he would and recommended that we replace the fence, although he could use most of the existing fence posts. His estimate was a few hundred dollars less than another bid we had received, and we asked him to do the job. He and his assistant completed the work in one day and did an excellent job of cleaning up afterward; he even removed a lot of scrub brush that was growing next to the fence on our side. "Awesome.  They came out on time, to begin with.  Then, upon removing the old shower doors, they discovered a bunch of gross mold that had collected/grown in the area between the old metal frame and the shower (the bottom).  They thoroughly removed and cleaned the whole area of all the mold -- when they were done, you couldn't tell it had ever been there.  Then they installed the new door, which looks fantastic.  Given proper drying time, this will probably be the last shower door we ever need or want in our master bathroom.  They left our bathroom the way they found it -- clean ... but with a sweet new door instead of the old, nasty, door.  Very, very pleased with the work."

"Chris and his team were absolutely great to work with. We called him before signing with another company and he saved us a few thousand off the bottom line, even with a storm door replacement. He was always quick to answer questions and didn't try and upsell, which was huge after having 4-5 other companies come out and talk about their windows. 
They were able to install all the windows in one day, even though they had to stay late. They came back the next day to install the door. Unfortunately it was wrong, but they put in an order for a new door and had it installed a little over a month later.
My only complaint (and the reason for the overall B review) is the storm door is still not what I agreed to. Or at least I think I agreed to. Chris sent photos and a description and maybe it's my husband and I misunderstanding the text and photo, but it just doesn't match up. I am sure if I brought it up that he would fix it but I just wanted to be done. Also, for $900, I expected a nicer door with fancier features (hidden fasteners for one).
So two thumbs up for the windows (they were great this past winter!) and their workmanship, but I'd personally pass on the storm door option.

"I had a jimmy-proof Yale lock on my iron gate replaced last year. The installation then was poor. One screw was never screwed into anything. Recently one of the other screws broke recently, the shaft was broken off. Called, and had the locksmith at my place about 45 minutes later. He worked for over an hour getting it secured properly."
