It also created cracks throughout the basement which was filled and repaired completely in a day in a half. The brand new stairs and outside door I am very pleased with. We had received two other estimates, including one from our oil company and another that recommended that we coat the exterior of our chimney with a waterproofing solution for an additional $350.00. Coastal Chimney and Masonry was very responsive, showed up as planned and on time, and completed the work on schedule within a week of the initial estimate. "I received a call back almost immediately after submitting a service request on-line.  Nelson and Segundo came out within a day or two to estimate the work.  They were professional, thorough, explained the work needed and advised someone in the office would contact me to schedule the work.  Office did contact me the same day and scheduled the appointment for a SUNDAY.  While very convenient for me, I wondered how happy a crew would be to work on a Sunday (read as, would the work quality be the same?).  But they explained they had to work around weather all the time and it would be just another work day for them.  They showed up on time, completed the work during the expected time and cleaned up after themselves.  They were polite, respectful and provided helpful information.  In summary, from the moment I requested an estimate until completion of the work, everything was great.  They came out a couple of weeks later to waterproof the chimneys.  I would use them again and highly recommend them. <br />"

"I am very pleased with the service and professionalism received by the Flue Doctor.  I called because I thought our fireplace damper was broken and the chimney may be clogged.  Serviceman Justin scheduled an appointment, and called to say he would be a few minutes late. He checked the damper and found that it was not broken, but did need to be adjusted so it seated correctly. He cleaned the fireplace and chimney, and discovered a birds nest and dead bird inside, which he removed.  I was very impressed by what a thorough cleaning he did, and how careful he was to clean up any dirt left behind.  The price was very reasonable and he suggested that I call again in 3-4 years (based on how often we use the fireplace). Very pleasant and not at all pushy to sell his services. <br />"
