"Went very well, however would have had them replace more of the chipped bricks. The large chipped obvious ones were replaced, but if the chip was small it was not done. Will have them back to do some more masonry work and have them replace more. George, who estimated the job was the only person to get up on the roof and look at the chimney. All others stood on the ground to give an estimate. George was fair and accurate and gave a very fair estimate. Others wanted to tear down to roof and replace and one wanted to replace the whole chimney. Had 5 estimates and really appreciated the honesty and integrity of Bill Miles company."

"We contacted Capital Region Masonry and Mario quickly arrived to assess the work needed to repair the brick sides and stone steps on my front entrance. The work was completed in a day at the price quoted. I would certainly recommend Capital Region for masonry repair."

"At our request, Mr. Bergen preformed inspections of both chimneys on our 100+ year-old home. Inspection disclosed both were in need of demolition and rebuilding from below the roofline. We contracted the job to Mr. Bergen's company (Professional Chimney Services). The work as done in a most professional manner...Scaffolding was assembled and the chimneys were demolished and rebuilt from below the roofline to their previous height including new brick, mortar, liners and top caps. Mr. Bergen selected a brick which closely matched the original color preserving the appearance of the chimneys. Both chimneys were re-flashed and waterproofed and animal caps were installed. All construction equipment was removed and the area was thoroughly cleaned of all construction debris."

"My 6-year-old house, with roofing installed on original construction, developed a roof leak. I had water dripping in my family room near my fireplace, with more rain on the way. Ugh. I noticed some buckled shingles on the shoulder roof sections on either side of my chimney chase. I called in Ultimate Roofing to take a look. Tom was great. He came out the day I called and sealed the questionable shingles I pointed out. He then took the initiative: Without my asking, he walked my entire roof, inspected it, and sealed some other random things here and there. The fee was very reasonable. He correctly (as it turns out) pointed out that the repairs he made might not explain the leak I was seeing, and to please call him back if the problem was not solved. With the next rain storm, the leak continued. I called Tom back, and he responded promptly. He sealed some more things in my chimney cap area, and would not accept payment for the second visit despite my best attempts to pay him. The second visit did the trick! Serious rain storm this weekend, and no leak! Tom is a stand up guy, who really cares about getting a job done right. He was friendly, responsive, knowledgeable and professional throughout. Just outstanding. The next time I have roofing needs, I will definitely work with Ultimate Roofing again."

"Very professional, courteous, friendly, and competent. Very respectful of property. Great service from office re: setting up and reminding about appointment; also received a call in afternoon to better pinpoint time they expected to reach us. Great job explaining issues with our chimneys and possible solutions. Looking forward to having them do repair work for us."

"It went well. We had to contact them to get scheduled even though the advertisement through Angie's list said they would get back to us by Thursday after we purchased the service. Then Angie's list contacted them. They got back to us by Friday. <br /> We were hoping the person would show up closer to 8 am since we needed to leave at 9:30. We had asked this 2 times to the person making the appointment and she made it sound as though the person would be there at 8am, but he did not get to us until a little before 9 am. We managed to get the entire appointment in, but we were rushed and ran late. We may use them in the future. We are still reviewing for other prices. They want $2,000+ to replace 14 layers of brick on our chimney. <br /> We ended up using them for the chimney repair. Frank came out and did the repair. The chimney work is beautiful. He repaired the bricks and replaced the inside flu at the top. He is very knowledgeable and very good at what he does. I would recommend working with Frank for sure. We are thinking of looking at an insert and working with Frank. <br /> <br />"

"After weeks of consideration and review the overall work is satisfactory at best. During the evaluation/estimate phase of the proposed work Rick (the owner) described the work that needed to be performed. Most noteworthy was that he was not going to use "concrete" to repair the deteriorated corners on the front steps, but he was going to use the same polymers used for bridge repairs. Following his description of the work to be performed and quoted price ($1,700 Fair) I decided to hire Rick's company. A few days later Rick dropped off an unsigned proposal with a brief description of the work to be performed. At this point I should have "cut and run", but decided to proceed on because I really wanted my steps fixed. After discussing the proposal with Rick, the proposal was discarded and the work was going to be performed without a contract. On 5/31/2013 Rick and his crew showed up early to do the work. It was going to be a hot day and they wanted to start early. As soon as they unloaded their materials for the job I noticed that they were going to use a "concrete" mixture for the work. It was a Quikrete "cement" suitable for repairing broken edges on steps, but not the polymers promised. Rick stated that this would work well. The work began at approximately 7:00 AM and was finished before noon. The quality of work performed by the crew was good except for the gentleman doing the work on the steps. He apparently is used by Rick when Masonry work like this needs to be performed. The end product was fair at best. His finish work was not professionally done. There were uneven surfaces that needed supplemental attention. <br /> Since May 31st I have had to refinish areas of the front steps to make them presentable and repair minor cracks. Other cracks have also appeared on the foundation that has been repaired. <br /> Normally, I would have contacted the contractor (Rick) to discuss these issues, but I believe that would have been futile. If it were some minor touch up that needed to be performed I would have, but not in this case. The most disappointing thing was that Rick said that he was going to use polymers instead of concrete and he didn't. It shows! <br /> <br /> Overall, get a detailed signed contract prior to work. Do not accept a verbal agreement no matter hoW pleasant he appears. <br /> Final note. Rick's crew, except the subpar mason were the greatest. They were extremely pleasant and professional and willing to please. To them, THANK YOU. <br />"
