From the first time I called for an estimate to the completion of the work, Tony and his workers were completely professional and trustworthy. We had a new liner installed in our chimney and after inspecting the exterior chimney, Tony immediately identified damage that had occurred from years of weather and use. Tony provided several repair options with varying prices, however ultimately recommended the most cost effective and common sense solution and not once pushed for the more expensive repair. This is just one example of Tony’s business and work ethic. Tony’s crew showed up on time and performed exactly what was promised. "Seals well enough to keep out any air from coming down chimney,but because of old one being cut out of metal firebox,some cold air still radiates into fireplace and out into rec room during really cold weather. New damper is spring loaded which makes it difficult for my girlfriend to close. Also they kept cancelling appointments  stating they had emergency calls they had to handle first. Finally came on 4th or 5th appointment. Did show up in scheduled time window, did work in about one hour, and left work area in clean condition. This was the most efficient way to do the repairs because of the way the fireplace was built and to replace everything would have been cost prohibitive plus not feasible because of the stone work on the fireplace which is a hard to find lava rock. Biggest negative was the numerous cancellations."

that I would only see bare branches for year or so when I cut to half
size. I appreciated the warning. The work was done the following week
shortly after I confirmed I wanted to hire them.John came to give
directions to the 3 workers before they started. I stayed in yard during
most of the work so I could change my mind about extent of downsizing
trees during the progression.  
The men clearly were used to trimming hollys which was a relief since I
have not been able to find any tree companies in the past 15 years who
even wanted to do it. One man climbed into the holly while another
worked from the ground with the long clippers.  Everything went smoothly
and all degree was removed.

"My fireplace contained a wood burning unit inserted into in the mid 1980s.  I t contained a glass front.  We had not used the fire place unit for several  because a prior Chimney Sweep company advised us we needed a new liner system and some chimney structural repairs.  The technician (Ken Williams) , prior to starting the work explained to me the scope of the work and the process of installing the liner.  I gave him a copy of the prior Chimney Sweep company report , which he reviewed with me.  We also reviewed the installation instructions of the original fireplace insert.    During installation of the new Stainless Steel System Liner , Mr. Williams examined the structural condition of the Chimney and advised me that there was nothing wrong with the Chimney and was in very good condition. I was very impressed with Stratford Mechanical and with Mr. Williams for taking the time to discuss the nuances of the Liner system.

"After hurricane sandy in 2012 a lot of people in Brooklyn and  Long Island got flooded a lot of home owners received flood damages or  lost their property due to Hurricane Sandy... I am living on Cony Island Seagate  area at that time I was home with my Family and how a remember the water came up to my house and flooded my basement and first floor of my house... They did remodeling on the master bathroom from the first floor and kitchen, they did a wonderful job...We love their new engineered Hardwood floor and the new design of the bathroom with the big bathtub and shower cabinet ...
