Pete responded promptly to my initial inquiry, came out ASAP to provide an estimate on the cracked step (and on a bigger "dream" project I've been thinking about), explained what had likely caused the damage, and gave me several options for either replacing the step just as it had been, or upgrading a little bit depending on my price range. His recommendations were good, and we didn't feel pressured at all, but the full reshaping of the step into a rounded one was a bit outside our budget so we took him up on enlarging it by several inches instead. Overall, Pete was friendly and professional, and had that air of experienced competence that you look for in someone doing work on your house. I didn't even bother getting a second estimate. I did, however, call a good friend who has worked in the brick industry for years, and he assured me that the price Pete quoted was right in line with what he would expect for my project if you want it done right. When I gave Pete the green light, he scheduled the work promptly, showed up in the morning on time a few days later, and knocked the whole project out by that same afternoon. Put simply, the step looks great. It was done promptly, in line with our budget and at the price Pete originally quoted, and our whole experience with him was easy and hassle-free. The new brick color is matched perfectly with the old brick (absent a decade of wear and tear obviously), as is the cement, and it is clearly quality construction. In sum, I would highly recommend PK Masonry to anyone, and I will definitely use him again if I can ever convince my wife to let me pull the trigger on that dream project I've been thinking about..."

"Wow! BOSS concrete is a great company to do business with. They were responsive, timely, professional and the quality of their work was amazing. They demolished and hauled away our old driveway, sidewalk and stairs and then reconstructed everything with new concrete. They also re-set and re-grouted the brick steps at our entry. They even did a nice job cleaning up and hauling away all of the waste. I highly recommend them!"

"LJIA Masonry did an amazing job replacing the broken flagstone covering my front door stoop and steps. They explained why the original flagstone broke over time and suggested a much thicker stone. It was fun watching them cut and place the stones to make them look as natural as the originals."

"Kevin first tore out and replaced our front steps which had serious settlement issues. He did his best to match our 30 year old brick. It's not a perfect match but not bad. A month or so later he replaced our driveway and added an additional parking pad. Apparently concrete was much cheaper 30 years ago since the pad nearest the garage was nearly a foot thick. His team had a heck of a time getting the concrete out of there. All the work looks good. Our only complaint is the adjacent bushes took a beating. I know they had to get around the buses but they took a beating and good size branches removed. With all the rain, the driveway job was delayed several weeks but we were in no hurry and Kevin kept in contact with us. They worked hard and finished the job promptly. I'd use Kevin again. <br />"

"Greg arrived on time and immediately took pains to secure our home from soot and dust. After the inspection, he explained and showed me what the problems were and what he would do to fix them and how much it would cost. I okayed his sweeping the chimney during this visit. I was so impressed with his professionalism and attention to detail, we made arrangements for him to return Monday and complete the repairs. Again, he arrived on time, prepared for the job and began immediately. The repair was completed and he was exactly on his estimate. I was very impressed and have recommended him to my neighbors. He has added pressure washing to his services and I am having him return and pressure wash our driveway and patio."

"I went with JSA primarily because I felt Scott took the most time to explain the work that needed to be done and why it needed to be done. He answered all of my questions and never seemed to be bothered by my lack of understanding initially of the work itself. He and his crew arrived on time and took great care to make sure my yard and bushes would be put back together as much as possible. They even moved my sprinkler heads out of the way and put them back in place after the job was done. The crew was not bothered at all by my presence and my watching them work ( I felt like a little kid fascinated by what they were doing). Scott even took time out during the job to explain things as he went. While it was not possible to put my porch back into its original position (this would have destroyed all the stone work), I believe we got some lift and now I'm no longer concerned that I will have worsening porch problems going forward. I'm truly happy that I picked JSA to do this job for me and would recommend them without hesitation."
