"Rick was responsive to my request for an appointment and showed up on time, early in fact.  He had my existing water softener problem diagnosed in minutes as he disassembled it in no time flat.  He offered to fix it or install a new one.  Due to the age of my water softener and the probable breakdown of the exchange resin, I opted for a new one (under no pressure from Rick).  He had the new water softener installed in no time.  This was truly an A-rated experience. <br />"

"Kal’s Plumbing was great and I would definitely hire them again. First, after finding them here on a Angie’s List, they were the fastest plumber to respond to my request for quote. Unlike others, they were willing to quote online based on the description I provided and then used photos to confirm it. They were punctual and did a great job within the time they said they needed. The old water heater was a tight squeeze to remove but they handled it without an issue. The best part was the service after the installation. The first time the water softener regenerated, the floor drain backed up, likely because it had been dry for too long since I disconnected the old one a few months ago. They came out ON A HOLIDAY and took care of it for no charge, even refusing a tip! When the units were inspected by the city, the water softener didn’t have a bonding jumper. Kal’s once again came out and took care of it (literally a 5 minute job) for no charge. Excellent communication, excellent service, and a fair price will make Kal’s my go-to plumber for all my future needs. The fact they’re a local family run business is an added bonus."

"I awoke to find that our water heater had rusted through and given up the ghost after 17+ years of service. I immediately called Paladin who had done great work for us before. They called right back and discussed options. Within minutes I had a quote from Mr. Olson and an explanation of charges. Our water heater was a tad more expensive than the average due to power venting. Mr. Olson was quick to put someone on the job. Brandon called and showed up at 10:30, even faster than estimated. He did a terrific job of being careful about removing the old water heater so as not to damage the house in anyway. He did a great install in a tough location. "Huber installed a new water heater a few weeks ago, and we noticed a faint smell of a motor oil coming from the furnace/water heater area in our basement. The furnace company told me on the phone that it couldn't be the furnace, so my next thought was that there was some sort of oil in the water heater that had leaked. Doesn't make sense, I know, but there was nothing else in the area, and the smell was getting stronger. So I called Randy, and he came out a few hours later to look. Turns out our sump pump was stuck on "On" because there was some water in the well, and the outline line was frozen and the water had nowhere to go. Randy hung around until I'd checked the exit hose, then told me how to solve the problem. He spent a half hour with me and didn't charge a thing because that's the kind of guy he is. It proves once again that Huber is the perfect plumber for me."

"As part of a large remodel project, my water was shut off for an extended amount of time. When it was turned back on, one of my bathroom tub faucets started to drip. I suspect the washer was not good, but had not completely failed when there was constant water pressure. I was able to remove the handles and the existing extensions; however, the rest of the handle components were not accessible. I reached out to multiple plumbers on Angie's list. I got very prompt replies from several (which is why I love using AL!); however, no one could come to my aid for several weeks. In fact, the initial reply I got from W&S was the same - about a 2 week wait. I asked if they could keep me in mind for a last minute appt, if they happen to be in my area. I received a call / text w/in a day that they could be there w/in an hour. Unfortunately, I was not able to make that time. I assumed that I would probably be stuck waiting a few weeks. However, to my very pleasant surprise, they reached out to me the next day - again - with a last-minute opportunity. This time it worked out. The plumber was extremely thorough, knowledgeable, and was able to fix the issue with some kind of special component. It was NOT a cheap appointment; however, I am giving them an "A" on price, because I was told up front the cost and I knew there was a 1-hour minimum. I would use Weld and Sons again for any plumbing needs, in a heartbeat. I also referred them to a coworker who is looking for a plumber."
