Contacted Mike the next morning and he was able to come out and take a look later the same day. I was very impressed with Mike's professionalism and knowledge. He had informed me of several things that I was not aware of while using our old system. His pricing was lower than the previous company we had used and I got more bang for my buck! After discussing all with my husband, we decided Ohio Valley Pure Water was the only way to go. We were able to get an appointment a week later for the installation of our new system! Both Mike, the owner and Greg the installer were both very professional and knowledgeable. Can't thank Greg enough, he did an outstanding job while replacing our old system and adding a water filtration system. I am 100% satisfied with my new water softener and water filtration system and would highly recommend Mike and Ohio Valley Pure Water!"

"He is awesome. He is very knowledgeable and understands old houses. I have got old plumbing and he talks to me about why it is important to not overwhelm the pipes in older homes. He gave me some things to do on a regular basis to keep the pipes running well and nicely, and so far he has been right on the mark. He has been in and out of my house. I noticed that my water bill was kind of high and that is when he found out about the faucet in the basement. He explained that we needed to replace it and why we needed to do it and also said that we would cover the cost of him replacing it in a matter of three months. He did a great job and also showed me a way to deal with my sink getting clogged. He suggested squirting in some dawn soap in the sink and letting it sit overnight. Then in the morning fill the sink with hot water and open it up. It works great and especially given the fact that when my husband shaves, it always likes to clog. It works like a charm. I need to do it once a month and it keeps the oil and hair from clogging up the sink. I have got my friends that have complained about the plumbing in the old neighborhood hooked on it too. I have to squirt a decent amount in and with heavy clogs I put in a little vinegar and baking soda and leave it overnight. None of my sinks are clogged right now and I do what I am told. He is very affordable. He tells us upfront that he is going to charge us a certain amount for being here. Other than the time we had to do some major extensive stuff, he charged us about $100 each time. The basement job was a little bit more expensive as he was completely removing the entire faucet and it ended up being $250. It was so good that I thought it was worth it and I did make it back up."

"I purchased a water softener package from Ohio Valley Pure Water.  Unfortunately, my home setup is not easily adaptable for a water softener.  My clean out is on the back-side of the house but my main is on the front.  The difficulty in setup was enough for Ohio Vally Pure Water to recommend Rodney for the job. <br /> Rodney is awesome.  He did the work the well, didn't complain once about the setup and so far everything is working well. <br />"

"The technician admitted he didn't know much about water softeners, so he gave me a handout about the softener they sell. I later called the owner to clarify what they had to offer. The owner was polite and had information about the one softener they sold and couldn't give a clear estimate if we bought a different one and had them install it. I should have been told up when I first called that they only sold one type of unit. They should have sent a technician who knew something. I regret spending money on the service call to find out they knew little about my needs. It left me with a bad taste for the company's initial communication and scheduling practices. I wish the owner had offered a refund when he realized we got bad advice and couldn't buy his unit."

"I've used Pete and his company a few times now and will go to him in the future, as well as refer my friends and family to him as well. I retained them to install a water softener, purchased through him, in my basement where the rough in plumbing was already done. They showed up on time, talked me through the install process, as well as work needed on the pressure reducing valve on my water heater, replacing an external hose faucet, and tried to determine the cause of severe vibrations that occur(ed) when I opened the home water valve fully. They were able to complete all of the work in just a few hrs, were professional, and cleaned up the area afterwards. They had brought three bags of salt, so I purchased all three. interesting thing to note is we were unable to determine, or replicate the severe vibrations we sometimes felt in the house, but it really hasn't happened since December."

"They have a high installation cost and require a one year contract for the rental. The water softener was fair at best -over priced for the quality. Had to break the contract due to a relocation out of their service area and was required to pay out the remainder even though they could not provide service in the new area. <br />"

"Gas line work was ok other than he couldn't determine where the supply line should go for a Samsung gas stove. Finally I had to email him installation directions that I found online in 5 mins. More questionable was during his pre-job estimate visit while in the area of the water heater he said the Water heater was not installed to code. (Even though it was only 2 years old and installed by a company that probably installs 20 a day and passed the County Inspector). So for another $160 he could bring it up to code. Seemed a little fishy in that it passed inspection and we have had zero problems with it. Hmm...."
