"Brad and the team at Chim Chimneys are awesome!!! We visited their store last fall to talk about outdoor kitchen options. A few days later, Brad came to our house to discuss our design and followed up with a written estimate for our outdoor kitchen. We changed the design and Brad came back out to remeasure and confirm the new design in January. Their prices are very far (they were actually about 40% less than two other quotes that we received). The best part is that you can visit their store to see the various grills and equipment rather than simply look online or in a catalog. They will describe the pros and cons of the various grills based upon what you want. We were also able to choose the tile that we wanted from one of the tile stores that they recommend (literally hundreds of choices). <br /> The installation crew is top notch and very professional. They were prompt, cleaned up at the end of each day, and best of all they did a quality job. The kitchen is high quality metal framing that is measured, cut, welded and fabricated on site. The exterior is hardie cement fiber board covered in stucco with the color of your choice. During the installation, we were able to discuss tile design layout options so that the finished product was how we wanted it. They have been doing this for many years and they are great at what they are doing. It is so refreshing to use a company that really cares about their customers and doing a quality job. We actually decided it would have been nice to have one additional cabinet door after it was installed. We contacted them, they provided a quote and installed it very promptly and with the same professionalism as the original installation. We highly recommend them! <br />"

"Of all the service people who have worked on this house since I bought it 2.5 years ago (and that's a LOT), Lords and the people who moved me are the only ones who provided service that was far beyond my expectations.  Lords is just in a class of their own. I'm told that they are pricey (I didn't comparison shop because they were so highly recommended, so I'm not sure, but the original repairs they did were not cheap), but just as for the movers that I mentioned, there is a reason that you pay for quality : in the case of Lords, it's service people who do continuing education and therefore are aware of the latest technology and who have the highest standards when working in your home. <br /> When they did the original repairs, they had to redo all the mortar inside the chimney and I also had them place a little "hat" damper on top of the chimney.  As my house is a 1939 bungalow, the chimney came without any damper/flue, so I was glad that they suggested that solution and I have been very happy with it. <br /> They work with a scanner that provides an image on a computer screen, and they shared all the images with me and showed me exactly what they were doing. <br /> One thing that really sets them apart is the information that they provide.  I think the word professional is very overused today, but the person from Lords who has come to my house both times qualifies in the true sense of the word.  He can tell you everything that you need to know (and more, if you are interested), and he makes certain that you have all the information that you need before he leaves.  This includes how to build fires (not nearly so basic as I thought), not just in general but with specifics that will help you use your individual chimney/firebox to get the best draft, what conditions can cause problems (very long list, some of which I never would have guessed), and different solutions if you find yourself in the middle of a problem. <br /> It goes without saying that they take impeccable care that the inside of the house is completely protected so that everything is as clean when they leave as it was when they arrived. <br />"

"I was getting a house built in 1962 that still had the original duct work ready to sell. It also had a mold in the ducts near the furnace in the attic and particularly bad in the bathrooms. The original ducts were metal and had some leaks in addition to mold. Anyway, the old lines even without the mold are the kind of thing that can cause an issue with inspections prior to the time of sale. After some research and advice from several vendors I decided to replace them. I narrowed the vendors down to two and finally picked Extreme Air Duct Cleaning mostly because of good reviews and because I was impressed with their representatives who came to inspect and bid the job. They were willing to negotiate a little and that also helped. In the end they replaced all the duct work (piping) in the attic with R8 (which is current Houston building code), cleaned and repainted all the vent registers and cleaned out the mold in the furnace/AC unit in the attic and cleaned the metal end in the ceiling that the vent registers attach to in the rooms. They were on time, they were very professional and they cleaned up after themselves. I would recommend them to anyone who needs Air Duct Cleaning or who needs to replace the existing ducts in an old house."

"After inspecting the chimney, the two technicians provided a quote for cleaning and repair. The cleaning price was the same as the previous quote by phone ($89 for basic cleaning) but the repair was a little expensive ($288 for attaching a metal flange, caulking and painting the repair). They provided the paint, which was similar to the original color of the chimney but not the same. By the time that I located a leftover gallon of the original paint, they had finished the job. My fault for not insisting that they wait to use my paint. The technicians were courteous and professional and did a good job."

"Bid was provided quickly upon my call to company. The sales person, Steve's, bid was for repair work only. I had seen favorable reviews on Angies list and elsewhere and a neighbor highly recommended Shamrock, based on her positive experience. As a result, I chose not to get another bid. Luis showed up to complete work at the expected time. He was very courteous and did a good job of cleaning up all debris. And, no issues thus far, post this repair. I definitely will follow up with Shamrock, when it's time for more significant work or for a replacement roof. Hopefully, at that time, Shamrock's bid will be competitive so that I can continue this positive experience."
