They used a winch to remove the old water heater and then install the new. "My water main from the meter to the house burst. I had a fountain coming up out of the ground so; I had to turn the water off at the main. Valley plumbing came out dug up the wet area to find a large hole in the old original pipe from 1940. The hole was the size of a silver dollar. The pipe was also all rusted with barnacles on the outside. He tried to patch it but the patch did not want to make a tight seal. He finally got it to hold but when we turned the water back on another very small hole developed. He got that hole patched and we turned the water back on and everything held. The next morning I got up and the leak was back but it was only a small amount of water coming out this time. I called Valley Plumbing and he came back that day and while I was at work got the leak patched and it is still holding. I need to replace the pipe but until I can afford that his patches are holding."

"The contractor removed one tank containing filtering media the added a larger one with a media that was sufficient for the iron content that had to be removed.  He further adjusted the system and corrected the water flow and backwash cycle.   Other tanks were cleaned along with the flow valve for proper functioning. The contractor was in and out in four hours using two workers that were both polite and competent. Everything was cleaned up and was left in better shape than when they arrived. From the time they put the new system on line our water has been perfect.  We are so happy after several contractors worked on our system for 10 years and none of them has gotten it right. <br /> WE RECOMMEND THIS CONTRACTOR TO ANYONE WITH BAD DRINKING WATER!"

"This has been a great experience. John Barrera responded quickly to my initial plea for help, came to the house and sized up the various problems. He then explained what needed to be done to fix each, and when there was more than one option to solve a problem he presented me with all the options and let me choose the solution. John is friendly, patient and easy to talk with. The members of his crew are all excellent plumbers. John trained them himself and they have worked for his company for a minimum of 10 years. Their drywall patching skills are <em><strong>awesome</strong></em>. John tells you the day and time he and his crew will start work and they are punctual, showing up when at the time they say they will. I trusted the crew members enough to give John a key to my house since I am up half the night and sleep during the daytime. They put down tarps to collect any dirt they track into the house and clean up after themselves at the end of the day. It didn't take long for me to realize that though John started out his career as a plumber he is now a general contractor. When he learned that I had several serious electrical problems in the house and garage, he contacted "his" electrician to take a look, and most of the problems are now fixed. The electrician will bill me separately. When the crew showed me the part of the sewer line they had cut out and replaced, it was visibly obvious that the house's 45 year-old galvanized steel sewer lines are so corroded and clogged with debris that they need to be replaced, so John and his crew will begin that job soon. When the time comes to remove some wallpaper and repaint portions of the house, John will guide that project. As soon as I can afford it John will arrange for hardwood floors to be installed, and long range, when I remodel the kitchen and utility porch, John will be in charge of that as well. "Mr. Akeson came out as soon as he could leave the job he was working on when I called; he arrived quickly to deal with this emergency.  The failed main water valve was leaking profusely.  This was the main shut off valve into the house at the house not at the street.  He arrived with the necessary copper pipe,  and necessary valves and did the job expeditiously.  The original water main valve was a gate valve; he replaced it with a lever-operated ball valve.  He replace several small lengths of related copper pipe as well as the hose bib. <br /> Prior jobs Mr. Akeson has done in the last 5 or so years: <br /> My house was built in 2005; I purchased it in fall of 2009.  Mr. Akeson has done several emergency jobs and installation jobs including: installing a filter system for a restaurant-quality espresso machine, replaced the drinking water system in the kitchen, and reseated a toilet which our flooring tile installer seated incorrectly.  The very first job he did was an emergency.  The baseboard installer accidentally drove a nail into a high-pressure water pipe servicing the air conditioner.  Of course we turned the water main <br /> off immediately.  Mr. Akeson arrived at this first call just as soon as he could.  He looked at the special type of plastic composition pipe and stated that he was certified/qualified to repair it and did so immediately.  He had the replacement materials and special tools to work on this sort of pipe. <br /> Mr. Akeson is the only plumber I use.  He is smart, quick, reliable and friendly.  His pricing has been reasonable. <br /> <br /> <br />"
