"Water softener was timely installed and works fine. The issue is that the water softener installed had a plastic dial that was not in English. My home was a new construction in 2017 I contacted them in late 2018 asking for them to replace the dial that was not in English. They said they would put me on the schedule for the next week to replace it. They never showed up and I forgot about it. I recently reached out to them again to replace it, and they noted that service was completed in 2017 and asked why I didn't reach out before. I said that I did and they didn't come out. They asked me to send them a picture, which I did, and they proceeded to tell me how to operate the unit. I noted that I didn't need help operating the unit, I wanted a unit that would be in English, and directed them to the picture where the plastic dial had setting in a foreign language. There was some confusion as they thought I was talking about the display, and they proceeded to explain to me how to operate the display, and I continued to try to explain the display was not the issue, but rather the plastic dial. The conversation became tense, and there was shouting from both of us. The conversation ended with the owner saying "I don't have time to deal with this bull***" and the call ended with him asking me if I "forgot to take my medicine this morning." Professionalism aside, at the end of the day my personal expectation as a customer is to have something installed in my home in a language I can understand, and a company that will stand behind their product and make things right. The owner's response was "they make these in 17 different languages." When I tried to press whether I can get one in English, he again started talking the portions of the product that had English on it without addressing the actual problem. Overall a frustrating experience. No complaints about the initial service or the product itself, only the lack of professionalism, not following through, and not standing behind the product."

"1-Star Review: Do Not Recommend Water Doctors Water Treatment Company As advised by my attorney, this review will be brief. In January 2026, I purchased a whole house water filtration and softener system from Water Doctors Water Treatment Company (owned by Hoey Marketing, Inc). The system failed to perform its basic function ? it DID NOT soften the water. Despite several service technician visits, each attempt ended with the same result ? hard water. The system did not pass inspection by the city inspector. Additionally, the system had to be turned off (bypass mode) due to leaking water. Customer Service: 0/5 Product Performance & Quality: 0/5 Issue Escalation: 0/5 Warranty & Product Guarantee: 0/5 Company management demonstrated a notable lack of urgency and responsiveness in addressing these serious issues. Note: The service technicians who came to my home were kind and genuinely apologetic. I would not recommend this company or its products and I would never hire them again."

"The tech is on time. He toke old water softener and brine tank out. Brought in new water softener and brink tank. Hook up new softener to the water and replaced hoses. Explained how the new water softener worked. Sales person came later that day to check make sure it worked. I got a thank you card in the mail a few days later."

"I posted the desired work on Thumbtack, and received a response from North Central within a day. I appreciated that they gave an estimate of the cost in the response. I contacted them and was pleased with their response, and that they were available to do the work within a week. The owner, a master plumber and his son showed up at the scheduled time, had several suggestions, and completed the work quickly. I recommend they be contacted for any plumbing needs."

"Commers installed a new water heater in June 2020. It has not worked since the day they put it in. We have had one problem after another with it. We have been without hot water many times and now it keeps overheating and the pressure release valve releases water flooding our utility room and basement. We keep buckets next to it so we can catch the water now. My husband has purchased and installed 4 pressure valves himself since October! We actually have to keep an extra on hand now. We have called and sent videos many times of the malfunctioning unit and they ignore us. They say they have checked with Bradford White the maker of the heater and they say it is working just fine. We cannot leave our house without shutting off the unit because we are afraid it will overheat again and release water all over the place and destroy our brand new $10,000 furnace or just flood out our basement. It is dangerous and they won't do anything about it. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. If I ever want to be able to leave my house again without shutting down my hot water heater, I'm going to have to spend several thousands of dollars to replace the heater they installed because they refuse to take care of the problem. It has been extremely frustrating and disappointing to say the lease."

"Had what appeared to be a major water leak from upstairs bathroom into our tuck-under garage (turned out to be a minor issue). Josh was quick to respond to our inquiry and was out to look at the issue within a couple days. He was extremely thorough, knowledgeable, and patient and was even willing to show me how to clean out my trap in the future. His rate was incredibly reasonable in comparison to what others quoted for the same job. Look no further; you will not find better service at such a good value anywhere else. Thank you Josh!"
