"I wrote a 5-star review for them last year and found it difficult to modify or amend that review as the mold smell from my chimney came back. While they did inspect and clean my chimney and a few other things that came up to about $600 I believe, they did not actually solve my issue with the moldy smell coming from my fireplace, they masked it, and the smell came back. It especially smells in the summer when humidity is high. I appreciated the company sending their crew multiple times to investigate but they couldn’t figure it out, ran out of ideas, and left it at that. They are the chimney experts and I was disappointed they couldn’t get to the bottom of it."

"In 2000 our family built a 20’ X 25’ river rock / blue stone patio. Eighteen years later, the area required attention to restore it to its original beauty. Queen City Fireplace & Outdoor Living was one of three contractors to review the task and explain our options. We were pleased with their approach and selected them to perform the work. They meticulously cleaned and removed the blue stone, regraded the bedding material, and reset, grouted and sealed the stone in a timely manner. This required a lot of physical work in the summer heat and humidity. Their attention to detail was outstanding and the project was completed on schedule. They cleaned the area each night and maintained a safe work environment. Queen City employees are consummate professionals. We are pleased with their work and would not hesitate to use the again for our patio needs. Expectations were exceeded."

"Doug did a little bit of everything in the concrete and mason services for us.  He poured, repaired and built new.  Everything was done with high professionalism and quality.  The biggest project was our patio steps which were dangerous and out dated.  He cut out a new line in the raised patio and built new brick steps to better fit the flow of the back yard.  The new steps look great and are much safer.  He had to remove a lot of concrete and dirt and then rebuild so this was a big project.  His team works hard and are very professional.  I would use Doug again!
