"I wrote a 5-star review for them last year and found it difficult to modify or amend that review as the mold smell from my chimney came back. While they did inspect and clean my chimney and a few other things that came up to about $600 I believe, they did not actually solve my issue with the moldy smell coming from my fireplace, they masked it, and the smell came back. It especially smells in the summer when humidity is high. I appreciated the company sending their crew multiple times to investigate but they couldn’t figure it out, ran out of ideas, and left it at that. They are the chimney experts and I was disappointed they couldn’t get to the bottom of it."

"Carolina's Fireplace and Granite Distributors were excellent to work with. Dale is very punctual and knowledgeable. He helped us with all of our initial planning and when we could not find a slab we liked on hand at their yard, he sent us to a granite distributor where we were able to pick our own custom slabs. The installers were professional and cleaned up after themselves. The hauled away our old counters and sinks. We were also able to provide our own choice of sink that we bought from a 3rd party. We had shipped to Carolina's Fireplace and Granite and they did the template on site and brought it all the day of installation. Everything went great and we would absolutely use them again."

This required a lot of physical work in the summer heat and humidity. Their attention to detail was outstanding and the project was completed on schedule. "We have lived in this house about a year.  (The house is 12 years old).   When we bought the house the inspection report noted that there were cracks in the masonry due to normal settlement.  The inspection report noted that these should be repaired to prevent water penetration.  Doug did a full inspection of the exterior of the house to locate all cracks in bricks and masonry.
It went very well.  All the work done was outside we had a couple of delays due to weather - Severe thunderstorms.
Doug and his crew arrived on time and had all the work done in short order.
The job site was cleaned up and my back porch was much cleaner after they left than it was before they started!
