"The fix was excellent. I wasn't extremely happy with the color of the mortar. I knew it wouldn't match exactly but the man doing it said once it dried I would hardly notice it. It is very noticeable. However, it's on the side of the house and probably no one will notice. Fixing the crack was the most important thing."

I would give them an A for quality, except I've noticed a few years later that much of the tuckpointed mortar is cracking. The work was originally done to fix a leak and the leak has not reappeared, so the cracking may be superficial only.
