"I couldn't be happier with the service received by Rick with RK Plumbing and HVAC. Our water heater died on a Friday night. When I called (close to 9pm), Rick answered and told me he was able to come out to our house Saturday morning. He gave me all of the costs upfront on the phone so we knew exactly what to expect. Rick arrived first thing in the morning. He was polite, friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. We have very hard water and no water softener at this time, so he recommended flushing our water heater every 6 months (you wouldn't believe how much lime was built up in the old one!!!) and even let me take a video of him explaining how to do that. We will definitely be calling Rick for any future needs we have!"

"We had Rainsoft out in November 2017 to look at our water softener after we noticed the brine tank was nearly full and there was constant runoff down the drain. They were able to come out in a timely manner to take a look at the unit. The tech claims to have "rebuilt" all the controls, but said that the unit needed to have the resin replaced, so I authorized the additional repair. He took the unit away and returned a week or so later to reinstall it. In January, we noticed the same exact problem again - brine tank nearly full and constant runoff down the drain. We called to ask about warranty on the repair at which point we were informed that they only warranty repairs for 30 days and if we wanted someone to come look at the unit again, we'd have to pay the $120 service call fee. Needless to say, we're extremely disappointed in their lack of warranty support for repairs when we're experiencing the identical problem. We attempted to speak with a manager and all we got was a "sorry you feel that way" and the unit is old, how about I sell you a new one? I will also add, that yes, the unit is old (15+ years) and we may very well be at the end of life on it, but then the tech should have informed us of that in November instead of suggesting a $210 repair (this is on top of the $120 service call). We've bypassed the unit and will be looking to remove it. The manager told us, it's yours, you bought it. Disconnect it and put it at the curb if you don't want it any more. His lack of empathy tells me that they probably have to deal with dissatisfied customers quite a bit. I would never recommend Rainsoft as a product nor Rainsoft of Greater Columbus as a company if you're convinced you need a water softener. There are other, more competitive, companies out there and hopefully ones that care more about their customers. Also, we've had them out over the years to service the reverse osmosis system they also sold us. Finally discovered we can get the requisite filters from Amazon for a fraction of the cost and replace them ourselves."
