"Al was fantastic! He clearly explained that my fireplace was shutting off as a safety feature due to low oxygen levels. He also reassembled the logs in the firebox and showed me the proper way to start and stop the fireplace. Highly recommend his service!"

"It went great! The Clark team is fantastic! I could only find one company to install my wood burning fireplace incert but they quoted me more than double the price. I was so happy to hear about Clark Chimney & Madonry, they did a great job for less than half price. Chris was very professional, and efficient and his team were great! Thank you"

"Are you ringing in the new year dreaming about a house project? If it involves masonry, then "Tomasello Patio and Stone" is the firm for you! This past Fall, Tomasello Patio completely reconstructed our front stone stoop. We no longer have to step around puddles when it rains, and the stone work looks beautiful. Jeff Tomasello talked with us in detail before the project, appreciating our input and desires. He explained exactly what needed to be done giving us a competitive bid. He was on time, ready to explain anything again during the process. The gentlemen who constructed the stoop were polite, efficient, neat, and very particular in their selection and placement of the bricks. We would highly recommend this firm for the professionalism and craftsmanship shown throughout the project."

"The service call itself was a bit high but I got an appointment right away and the technician was excellent. He definitely knew what he was doing. Very professional and courteous. Diagnosed, repaired and cleaned my entire unit within a half hour. I would recommend this company."

"Seals well enough to keep out any air from coming down chimney, but because of old one being cut out of metal firebox, some cold air still radiates into fireplace and out into rec room during really cold weather. New damper is spring loaded which makes it difficult for my girlfriend to close. Also they kept cancelling appointments  stating they had emergency calls they had to handle first. Finally came on 4th or 5th appointment. Did show up in scheduled time window, did work in about one hour, and left work area in clean condition. This was the most efficient way to do the repairs because of the way the fireplace was built and to replace everything would have been cost prohibitive plus not feasible because of the stone work on the fireplace which is a hard to find lava rock. Biggest negative was the numerous cancellations."

"Eddy, their estimator, was extremely flexible in regards to scheduling. We
set up an appoint for after 6, he showed up on time, and we walked
through the yard to get an estimate for work. Estimate was in line with
other companies I had contacted and I felt comfortable moving forward
with Double Tree. After a few weeks of rainy days,Tonny and his team called in
the morning and were there when they said they would be. The team moved
quickly and completed the job in about 3hr and left the yard as
they had found it. I almost forgot I had trees there in the first place.
Highly recommended them."

"I have a wood-burning fireplace that I don’t use to burn wood. I have an electric insert instead. But the flue would not stay closed. Last winter was very very drafty in my living room. I reached in and tried to fix it myself but did not have the tools or the ability but the gentleman from Fixed and Fair had both. He was here just a short time and did not charge me anything. I would recommend this company highly. (But would like to suggest they put their address on their business cards. I had to look it up on Google to enter this review above!)"

"Prompt response at a competitive price compared to other estimates. I was provided a very detailed explanation of the water heaters. Also received a follow up call the next day to verify all was working well.

FAQs for brick or stone fireplace installation projects in Freehold, NJ

A chimney liner lasts between 15 and 25 years, depending on the material. Aluminum liners last about five years, while cast-in-place liners can last up to 50 years. Regular professional inspections can reveal signs of deterioration, such as cracking or crumbling chimney walls, ensuring necessary repairs are made to maintain structural safety and efficiency.

Yes, a chimney liner is essential. It prevents dangerous heat and toxic gases from reaching surrounding materials, reducing fire risks and structural damage. A well-installed liner safeguards your masonry, directs harmful emissions outside, and enhances heating efficiency. Regular inspections and cleaning maintain your chimney liner’s performance, keeping your home secure and energy-efficient.

Creosote buildup occurs when burning wood releases tar that adheres to the chimney liner, posing a fire hazard. Regular professional chimney inspections and cleanings by qualified chimney sweeps will effectively manage creosote deposits, preventing dangerous conditions and costly repairs.
