I had just sold my house, and in the process of moving, the movers broke a pipe that had to be repaired behind a wall on the day we gave possession to the new owners. "This took a couple years to fully complete as I have a Hip (Jack)-roof. The structure blocked off the last 4 feet from the end of the house, where the secondary roof takes over. Unfortunately, voids were inevitable because of all the obstructive joists etc. The next winter this was evident as the snow had melted over the areas that had no insulation. I took pictures, and Ryan sent a crew back to try again. I was happy, but the next winter showed the same voids. A week or so ago, I took out eve boards and found the void(s). Insulated it myself, but realized other end of roof would have the same issue. Called Ryan and he agreed (2 years later mind you) to fill it in for me. Then I drilled a small hole and put a bore-camera in and discovered all center bats had voids of 2 feet or so the length of the house. I scrambled (the night before appointment) and used a hole saw and cut out 7 additional holes through the 2x4 blocks. Too late to call that night and inform them of my new discoveries, I called (almost) first thing next morning to explain the job had gotten a little bigger than a 4x4 foot area. Once he understood the scope of project, Ryan said (as my doorbell was ringing) that they would do whatever needed to be done; just let them know, and call him with any issues. The workers figured out ways to get into the small openings with their hoses and made it work. Didn't argue, very respectful and stuck to it. I couldn't have been more relieved. Thank you for helping me with this issue of 30 years! I just knew my house was cold in winter, and hot in summer. I missed a chance to inspect this area when a roofing job would have allowed me to remove plywood and insulate it then, (as the original builder should have done). This was a "Good 'Cents' Home" from the '70s (PGE program) when insulation was being used to save energy. They just "missed a spot". Thanks everyone. Now my home finally makes 'Cents'!"

"We needed a cavity below our living room bay window filled with blown-in insulation. We were worried that a contractor would not be interested in such a small job. Fortunately, HomeRx came to the rescue with a prompt response and reasonable quote. Samuel got us on the schedule the next week! The installation crew was fantastic. They arrived on time and took great care to protect our living room from insulation debris. They drilled four small holes into the drywall and filled the entire cavity with insulation. Next they did a very professional job to spackle the holes and cleaning up the work area. We could not have been more pleased and will definitely contact with HomeRx for future home projects."

"I contacted 3 companies and they were all wonderful. They came out and gave different bids. They were all very experienced and very good about getting back to me. They were all very helpful and customer oriented. It was only for financial reasons that I had to put off the work. It was for underneath insulation like in a crawl space of the main floor. Only Alpha could do the entire job because of the skill set. They quoted me $1800 and because it was before the end of the year, there would have been a $600 tax credit. So the net cost would have been about $1200. The other 2 quotes were higher on that account. The timing of the work was based on the fact that I had a delay in updating my kitchen. I was hoping that it would be done quickly because they had to have my new sink put in and have all the new plumbing done before they could do the insulation underneath. It was a spray on thing to close up the holes in the bottom of the cabinets which were bigger than the plumbing and breached all the cold air. They were awesome. I will go to them when I have the money to get the work done. As far as affordability, overall professionalism and the fact that they could do the whole job is concerned, they were very good."

"We hired Fine Finish (Mark) to design and build a 2-car attached garage with partially finished space overhead, including a small finished office.
It's hard to list all the ways Mark and Travis went above and beyond during our garage addition project. First, they worked through some of the worst weather an Oregon winter has to offer. While most of Portland was crippled due to flooding, Mark and Travis were hauling shingles up a 2-story ladder and installing our roof. When they were planning the gutter installation, they noticed that our existing gutters were still full of oak leaves. So they cleaned the gutters. They were especially patient with our 18 month-old son, who affectionately referred to them as the ?guys? and took a keen interest in everything they did.
Mark anticipated future design aspects that we hadn?t thought of like leaving space and wiring in the garage for a central HVAC
system. He asked insightful questions about future plans to make sure our money was spent wisely, now and in the future. Even during the design phase, Mark was very transparent about different cost-saving options and associated tradeoffs. 
We expected that once the work started, we would mostly be dealing with subcontractors. To our surprise, only the foundation work, gutters, and garage door installation were sub-contracted. Mark and Travis did all of the framing and finish work themselves. As a result, the quality of our addition is noticeably superior to that of our original home.
If you want someone to hire an army of people to throw your project together as quickly as possible, look elsewhere. If you want the attention to detail of a craftsman and an honest, no-nonsense interaction with someone who takes pride in his work and has your best interests at heart, talk to Mark. We?re glad we did and we?ll definitely be back in the future.

"After inspecting our foundation earlier, Q determined that we needed a sump pump (which we suspected). His quote was reasonable compared to others we had heard about, so we went ahead with it.
His team of three guys worked hard for two days digging drainage trenches and installing the pump in a couple of feet of standing water. We then had to wait about a week for the water to pump out and to dry out so a new vapor barrier and gravel could be added. This was done during a cold winter where it took longer for the area to thaw and dry out so the delay was kind of a bummer, but not at all Ethereal's fault.
When they returned, they were able to finish up in one day (so three days of work total) and cleaned up after themselves very well. The guys were pleasant and happy to answer questions during the work and Q was careful to follow up and check on the work. All in all a great group to work with as long as you're realistic about the work necessary and time involved."

"The sales person did a good job explaining the work needed, what they would do, and provided a clear estimate. I purchased the plus package with ridge vents. The crew did a good job removing and installing the new roof, boards, and skylight. We had an issue with too much oil on a packag or two of the shingles which created an interesting look on my roof. We worked through the issue by holding payment for that part of the work until the oil faded (a few months). It has been about a year and the roof is doing well."
