"I met Jeff at my daughter's house to have several things done: replace her ultraviolet bulb, replace her water filter, hook up her water softener (she had recently purchased her home), and her washer needed the P trap put in which she had purchased. Jeff did all those things and checked her well system (the tank needed air). I was so pleased with Jeff's work and so glad there is an Angie's list! I had an appointment with a water treatment co. to change my ultraviolet light and cancelled it. Jeff came and changed the bulb, checked out my water softener, and put air in the water tank (which was not done ever by the repair guy from the water treatment co. I've used for years). Jeff listed things that would need to be replaced on the well gauge and switch and softener down the road. My husband appreciates the pressure in the shower! Excellent work. Considering the water conditioning guys charge $196 for only changing the bulb, we will definitely use Jeff's American Clean Water each year."

"The salesperson did not always call back when he promised to but otherwise all went very well and we feel glad that we now won't have to freeze like we did the last time the power went off due to a winter storm.  The work was done by two knowledgable workmen, Gordon and Tim, who were friendly, courteous and efficient. They thoroughly explained everything to us. The unit was installed exactly as promised. We have not had a power outage yet since the install but the unit tests itself once a week as it is supposed to and all seems to be in order and it looks good. I have since called this company for other HVAC repairs and have been similarly pleased with their work. <br />"

"Estimates for all the jobs were reasonable and came back quickly.  All of their employees were very polite and professional.  All of the jobs were completed as scheduled.  <br /> The only issue we had was with the water softener.  It did not do the job as we were hoping.  The water was still leaving deposits on our dishwasher, washing machine and faucets.  Handyside had the water tested, cleaned the water heater, and rechecked the softener, all at no charge to us.  When we were still unhappy with the performance they replaced the system, at no charge to us, with a unit from a different manufacturer.  We are very happy with the new unit, and all other work done by this contractor. <br /> I believe the issue with the original softener was due to the water we have coming into our house being too hard for that unit, not a defective install on the part of Handyside.  They could have told us that we were stuck with what we bought but they went above and beyond to make us happy.  I would highly recommend this contractor.  <br /> Its nice to work with a family owned business that is owned by a family that cares about its customers. <br />"

"The technician noticed a leak into the basement and investigated. Appeared to be from dishwasher. When plumber arrived, he looked under dishwasher and advised re probable cause and shut water off. This was above and beyond their contract for A/C installation and greatly appreciated. <br />"
