"One screw type pier installed. 2 workers hand dug hole below bottom of foundation. Cleaned out under foundation for platform. Although foundation was deeper than I thought, the hole was done much better and quicker than I envisioned. Pier was screwed at bottom of hole with a hydraulic motor. Once limit on hydraulic pressure was reached, the pier was cut at proper level, platform installed, and cracked section of foundation was raised with a hydraulic jack. Crack in stonework closed up nicely without going too far and creating additional cracks. Workers had 5 and 15 years experience doing this work. Very professional and did a very nice job every step of the way. Note that I (homeowner) chose to move and reinstall landscaping stones and gutter drain. Also, tuckpointing/repairing the cracks was not included in the quote. I plan to do that myself at a later date."

"Mr. Robert Helm was out last August (2014) for an estimate and to meet with my insurance adjuster, but we had a baby in September and the repair job fell off our radar until this Spring (after I noticed a few more shingles blown off in our yard). The repair costs were less than our deductible, so it would be out of pocket. After reconnecting in Spring, he returned my call promptly and was able to schedule the work to within a couple days of my requested window. Robert is a super nice guy and easy to work with. Very accommodating and extremely honest. After the job, he calculated actual material costs and time spent and it came out to be less than the original estimate! He took great care in matching the shingle and the work looks great. No damage to anything and NO MESS. Also, I was appreciative that he didn't call CPS on us after seeing the "cage" with a kid's chair in it that my daughter uses as her pretend jail on her playground. LOL. "This was the repair of a cracked tile that was found previously in December during a chimney clean and inspection as part of a home purchase. The first appointment was easily rescheduled due to rain the previous night. I received a call ahead of them traveling over to do the repair. There was a two person team to carefully guide the lift into the backyard and the repair took about 4 hours. After the repair they cleaned the roof off and fireplace out. I was given both an excellent verbal and written description of the work performed. Everything that I'm able to see looks very good and I'm now ready to use it finally this winter!"

"I was looking to get my roof replaced due to some hail and wind damage that happened over several events. I contacted three roofers to provide me an estimate. I will not name the other companies I requested bids from, but I will state that Elbert was the middle bid. The low bid was very low from my figures and the high bid was several thousand dollars higher than Elbert. Of the three companies, Elbert was the only one that sent a person to come talk to me and spend time with me explainnig what they would do. The others were done via phone or email. The representative from Elbert was very responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. <br /> My roof involved the insurance company as well and the rep from Elbert worked with them throughout the process. The Elbert rep did a great job with me and the insurance company. After signing the contract for the work (again another face to face visit) and going over the types of shingles to use (color, quality, etc.) the Elbert rep was very helpful in communicating when the work would be done. There was a slight delay but that was mainly due to the weather since it was early in the roofing season. I happened to be out of town when the work was done, but they did a great job in about three days (this included changing out some boards due to rot). When I returned home I found very little evidence they had been there besides the new roof, which looked great. <br /> As with any company you need to do your homework. I felt Elbert was a quality outfit and did a quality job. Yes their price was not the lowest, but I always believe you get what you pay for with that type of work. The money I paid for this job was well worth the quality that I got from the company. The company exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend them to anyone that needs to have a roof replaced. I feel confident as well that if I were to have an issue (none so far and it has been four months) that they would be responsive to those issues as well. <br /> <br /> <br />"
