"Karlo Palomo contacted me immediately upon my query through AL. He offered an estimate right away. It was a bit lower than one other I had obtained, although it was considerably higher than the cost of the same repair the last time I had to have it done. He came out later that same day and inspected the site in person, having only seen it via, I suppose, Google Maps or some similar internet program when he gave the initial estimate. He lowered the estimate immediately upon seeing the actual box, as some of the required work he anticipated would not have to be done. He told me the work would be done in five-to-seven days, and he actually completed it the next Saturday morning, arriving after I'd left for work and completing it by the time I returned midday. He did an excellent job on the structure; he neatly stacked the surplus brick, and he approximated the structure he replaced by about 85%, which was all that was possible to do, owing to the availability of the brick used on the original. His design was a bit different but was, in my opinion, more attractive than the structure he replaced. I was satisfied in every way with his promptness, courtesy and professionalism, quality of workmanship, and business-like approach to the job. I highly recommend  him and would definitely call on him again for masonry work. <br />"

"Lone Star Masonry provided excellent service, exactly what I was looking for which was a full thick white mortar finish coating to my 2-story red brick exterior walls enclosing the courtyard. This treatment really brightened up this space which doesn't receive much direct sun at any time of the day. Yeah, I could have just painted the brick, but that wouldn't have achieved the high-end look of almost stucco-like appearance, plus paint can become a maintenance chore over time I didn't want to deal with. Their attention to detail and thoroughness was admirable."

While working in the house he came across an issue that needed some minor repair that was not included in his quote. He stopped made the repair quickly and and continued working on the other tasks. "Outstanding!! Our 40 year old, 39' brick wall blew down in high winds. Bruce Douglas was extremely patient and concise in explaining what and how the wall would be rebuilt. He met and talked to our insurance adjuster and explained the process needed to do the repairs. He was the only mason we talked to who was willing to clean and use our existing brick so that the rebuilt wall will continue to match our house. We were greatly impressed as the wall went up to see the care used in mixing a strong mortar and use of wire tracks to stabilize the wall. Once finished, the team cleaned up and removed the remaining debris. He and his team could not have been nicer or easier to work with. "It went well. A few days after they replaced the house roof another storm blew the piece they had installed between the chimney and the house to prevent leaking the roof blew off and they promptly replaced it. There was no other damage from the second storm."

"He came and discussed the work. We agreed on $800 and I paid immediately with a credit card, although he wasn't ready to do the job yet. A few days later, an employee came in and did the work. We had agreed that he would photograph the the top of the chimney to show me, but he never did or responded to my subsequent requests. I don't even know what he did because the top is not visible from the ground. On windy days, the metallic noise is unbearable, so I contacted him again by text, but he never acknowledge my request. The noise continues. I don't remember the date of the work."

"We had not used our home's fireplace in the 6-years we've lived here and decided to look into getting gas logs. I visited Elegant Fireside and Patio in Plano and spoke with the owner, Jacob. He was very consultative and went over the various options in terms of our fireplace and discussed inserts vs. gas logs. He wasn't pushy at all, but made the case for what he recommended. We chose a set of Hargrove Woodland Timbers gas logs and installation was set for approximately 10-days away from purchase date. I had some concerns around the install and spoke with Steve a couple times and he heard my concerns an reassured me that the install would not be a problem. Install date arrived and the installer arrived on time and was here less than 2-hours. In that time the chimney was inspected and cleaned, the firebox was painted black, the gas log set was installed, and the surrounding space in the firebox was covered with around 2.5" of fireglass. Wow! What a transformation! I cannot recommend Elegant Fireside and Patio high enough. They have top-notch products, well exceeding big-box store products. Jacob and Steve are very knowledgeable and a pleasure to do business with."
