"We have been keeping up with the fine cracks on the stucco of our 38-year-old home, but are thinking of putting it on the market. Asked Mr. Bilodeau to come and give us an estimate to make any further repairs. After walking the perimeter of our home, he determined that we've been keeping up minor repairs pretty successfully and gave us advice on where to add more caulk. Since all was in pretty good shape, it was agreed that no more needed to be done. If we don't proceed with the sale of our home, Mr. Bilodeau will be our number one source for upkeep in the future. "Great! We had him out because we were selling our house and the inspector said our fireplace and chimney were dirty(which I knew they weren't) and the buyers wanted us to address it. He came out and took one look at our fireplace and said there really wasn't anything wrong with it, but he had to charge us for a service call. He felt bad about it, but I completely understood. He wiped down the fireplace and ran the brush up the chimney even though it didn't need it so we could tell the buyers we had it taken care of. He also patched a couple of spots that would need it soon anyway. He was very courteous and friendly. Would totally recommend them to someone else."

The 40' stone retaining wall looks new and the caulking that was between a substantial number of chimney bricks was removed and replaced with mortar. The stone planters in our home's entry were carefully cleaned of broken/cracked mortar, the stones are now solidly in place and the planters look great. Roy is an artist with this kind of work. Cleanup was very thorough - minimal effort needed after it was done."

"Great! Terry & team (Corey & Shawn) arrived promptly as expected, spending approximately two days to complete this work. House bricks are soft Mexican adobe brick in a 1970's custom size. Job entailed "shaving" currently available matching bricks to fit the existing narrower bricks. Great effort was made to "match" the other bricks -- hard to tell that new bricks were interspersed with the old bricks. Very happy with this masonry work & no more cold breezes around doors & fireplaces! Cat & Mack"

"We have used them a couple of times because they're affordable, although at least once I wasn't impressed with the person they sent to provide the service, and another time they let their giant garden hose drag across our landscaping and it totally crushed an exotic flower that was planted there. However, I'm a firm believer that you get what you pay for so their reduced rates compared to others we got quote from would still make them our go-to call for bug spraying or pest control. They get the job done, and it's priced well. <br />"

"Matt was great to work with. He was honest, fair, and helped me find the modern design I was looking for in the budget I could afford. His team arrived and installed both doors in one day. They took care of everything including hauling away the old doors and replacing the trim around the new ones. The only con was that it was separate to paint the front door; it would have been nice for it to be included, or at least for the painter to paint it before it was installed. But it was a minor complaint compared to the overall outcome of the project."

"Terminex claimed I had a rat problem and wanted to charge me thousands to seal and treat the attic.  I had already had the attic sealed a few years ago by another contractor and rats or squirrels dug out some of the copper mesh.  Rather than pay an obscene amount it was off to Angie's List! <br /> I asked Chimney and Wildlife Specialists for an estimate.  Josh arrived and identified new areas of access that the previous contractor hadn't sealed.  He agreed to reseal the previous work as well as seal the newly identified areas for $1,200 less a discount for Angie's List customers. <br /> I asked about some tuck pointing I needed done (brick work) but it wasn't something they could help with.  Josh promised alternate names but I never heard back. <br /> Once scheduled, Josh arrived back at the house and did all the promised work.  I think Josh did a much better job both identifying areas of entry and sealing them than the previous contractor.  There cost was easily double that of the former contractor but the job was done right. <br /> Only minor complaints: <br /> 1) They were supposed to return 3 times to check the traps.  They only came back once and no rats were found.  I would be fine with them waiting longer for the second round and then not returning again... but they should have told me rather than just not show. <br /> 2) Josh never responded with alternate names for someone to do tuck pointing with color matching of the mortar.  Even a response of "I couldn't find anyone to do the work" is better than saying you will do something and then not. <br /> 3) In one spot the foam sealant expanded to become a blob on the front of my house.  Everywhere else it was well applied where it didn't stick out so much. <br /> In spite of these minor complaints I am in general satisfied with the work done.  I would use their services again. <br />"

"After inspecting everything, they recommended more work to make fireplace safe to use. I also needed a new chimney cap as water was leaking into the house. I had a water spot on the ceiling but thought the recent roof replacement fixed that. Chimney cap was sunk in and water was sitting, slowly dripping into the house. They fixed everything. Fireplace is now safe. Very happy with the work."
