"I hired these folks to repair a built-in gas fireplace. This company was very responsive, communicative and prompt. Our tech was Nick, and he was excellent. He arrived right on time, diagnosed the issues, explained them to us in detail and was even able to fix them on the spot. He also did a safety inspection, as our unit had not been used for some time. Following service, he went the extra mile to vacuum up any dust and debris left by service - very much appreciated! Nick was courteous, knowledgeable and capable - I would happily have him back for any future needs with our unit. The price for service was very reasonable and came with a written, itemized estimate."

They stuck to their timeline and cleaned up real well after themselves. The price they quoted was what they charged us. They had to match some chimney material and it looked pretty close to what we had before because it was only part of the chimney that was replaced. They replaced about a third of it going up because we hadn't maintained it. He also told us about a way to maintain it and seal it. "Jason surpassed all competitors and my wildest expectations with respect to price, quality, and speed in which he constructed the front steps with stone work integrated into the facade and granite treads. I had already been informed that once demolished, my new staircase would need to include an additional step in order to be up to code. I had two quotes, and got Kirby's number from a neighbor that had a very impressive staircase recently constructed. Jason's quote was more than $1,000 below the previous lowest estimate, which I liked immediately, but he also demolished my old staircase and constructed a beautiful new one with the additional step, and completed all pointing of my stonework surrounding the stairs in a SINGLE DAY. When it was clear it was going to rain that day, he said "No problem" and built a tent around the workspace in order to complete the job. As if all that weren't enough, I had asked he incorporate a number of stones that matched the foundation of my porch into the stairs and he did it beautifully. I am happy to write him a detailed review on Angie's List which is the only thing he asked for in return. I will definitely call Kirby Masonry for projects in the future and would recommend them to anyone. Cheers!"

"They were very friendly, professional, and worked into the evening to get the job done on time. They did a more thorough job than a company we had out a month before and they pointed out that there was a lot of creosote build up missed. They ran into an issue with the ash door installation because we have a weird chimney that doesn't go all the way to the ground. They fixed the miscalculation with no additional cost to us and it looks great. We discussed installing a new liner and repairing some of the stone at the peak of our chimney in the spring. We look forward to working with them again!"

"Front walk was old and heaved-up by tree roots. De Angelis masons disposed of all old pieces, dug out roots, and replaced entire walk (approx 4' x 9') with pavers. Worked through several standard paver designs; finally customized one that would fit this narrow space. Estimated 1.5 days but finished job in 1 day; walk has been stable through 2014-2015 winter. Also patched a couple of holes in old concrete steps. <br /> Cut through ~3'-high brick wall separating back walk from yard; covered cut surfaces and set bluestone threshold to keep yard in place. Came back a day later to retrieve tarp (needed on cut surfaces so they would cure) instead of making us dispose of it. <br /> Not cheap, but very high quality work. Will certainly go to them for any other masonry needs. <br />"

During the initial visit Charles provided a detailed assessment of what was wrong and options for repair, as well as answering all questions. I immediately felt like Charles was someone I could work with. Charles made a second visit the day before the scheduled start to measure a second time. When the day came to do the job, Charles was punctual, personally on-site with 2 assistants. Work completed efficiently, with attention to detail, and the cleanup was like they'd never been there.
