"Repairing our slate roof has been a challenge for us because it’s extremely difficult to find contractors that work on slate roofs. Even if you do find someone, they may not have the years of experience needed to successfully solve your problem. "My appointment was at 4:00 and they called me promptly at four and told me that they had an emergency and would be able to be at my house by 5:00. They arrived at 4:30 and were very professional. Inspected my fireplace/chimney and found that it did not need cleaned or repaired. Since I do not have any experience with fireplaces, he showed me how to use it and told me what kind of wood to burn in it. I was very pleased with the service. He could have cleaned the chimney and charged me even though it didn't need done and I would have never known the difference. I also appreciated that they called to let me know they were going to be late."

"One screw type pier installed. 2 workers hand dug hole below bottom of foundation. Cleaned out under foundation for platform. Although foundation was deeper than I thought, the hole was done much better and quicker than I envisioned. Pier was screwed at bottom of hole with a hydraulic motor. Once limit on hydraulic pressure was reached, the pier was cut at proper level, platform installed, and cracked section of foundation was raised with a hydraulic jack. Crack in stonework closed up nicely without going too far and creating additional cracks. Workers had 5 and 15 years experience doing this work. Very professional and did a very nice job every step of the way. Note that I (homeowner) chose to move and reinstall landscaping stones and gutter drain. Also, tuckpointing/repairing the cracks was not included in the quote. I plan to do that myself at a later date."
