Dale Plumbing/Heating/Gas is a locally owned plumbing business servicing areas north of Boston! Call, text, email, or message me, Curtis Dale, for your plumbing needs! Fast response, friendly service, flexible scheduling, and fair pricing sets us apart from the rest! Check us on Facebook @DalePlumbingHeating

"Vast technical knowledge, skill, and excellent customer service are a rare combination in the trades. You'll find that combination with Curtis. I needed a plumber to help with a 2 new bathroom addition project. The plumbing was the most critical part of the project, dictating the location and layout of the bathrooms. I interviewed a large number of plumbers. Some had a rough idea of what they would do, others said they would "figure it out on the job", and Curtis sent me detailed drawings and diagrams. That gave me peace of mind from the beginning of the project and allowed me to layout the bathrooms in the most efficient design. I chose Curtis because he was able to thoroughly explain what needed to be done, he offered me the right price for the project, and I could tell he would be easy to work with. I couldn't have been more satisfied. He installed new plumbing to the 2nd floor and a tub with shower head, toilet, and vanity in each bathroom. He also installed plumbing and a washer hookup in a new location and an ice line for the ice maker in the freezer. He was punctual, worked efficiently, and offered sage advice throughout the project. He was always easy to reach by text or call. And when I needed a pipe moved or fixture changed, Curtis would stop by the same day or the following day. You can't ask for a more dedicated plumber than that. I hope to have him on every job from now on."

"Our heater stopped functioning on Nov 27, 2023 and we called Petro who had done the maintenance on it before and replaced a motor two years ago. They were responsive and a technician came two days later. He worked for 3 hours without explaining what the problem was. Then said he needed to replace the motor. He fixed the problem and left without much explanation. Two days later a bill of $2500 came via email. No explanation, no break-down. I called 4 times over the last 20 days, spoke to 4 different reps and was promised that a supervisor will contact me with the bill details. Nothing happened. Irresponsible customer service and unprofessional behavior. They show all the symptoms of big, bureaucratic, and indifferent service company. I would not recommend Petro if you have options of more personalized services."

Merrimack Valley Plumbing, LLC is a locally-owned and operated company committed to providing fast, affordable, and high-quality Plumbing. We offer HVAC repair, installation, and replacement services. We specialize in heating controls and simplifying complicated plumbing and HVAC systems to make them user-friendly. We strive to find solutions that fit everyone’s comfort needs, from construction projects to air conditioner replacement.

"I hired Merrimack Valley Plumbing to install a boiler in my home, and my experience was overwhelmingly disappointing. While the boiler functions, the installation process and quality of work raised numerous red flags. I want to share my experience to help others make an informed decision when considering this company. Installation Issues Code Violations: The exhaust is less than 3 feet from the gas meter, and the holes drilled in the joists for intake and exhaust are less than 2 inches from the bottom, both of which do not meet code requirements. Improper Venting: Both the exhaust and intake vents are installed too close to the ground (not meeting the 12-inch clearance required for expected snowfall) and are too close to each other (less than the 12-inch separation required). Unsealed Penetration: The hole drilled in the siding was left unsealed, creating a potential entry point for rodents. Condensate Drain Issues: The installed condensate pump is leaking and wasn’t tested. Additionally, rather than a permanent drain installation, they daisy-chained it into a pump for a portable air conditioner. Wiring Errors: The zones for the primary bedroom and second floor were wired backward, causing overheating in both areas. Missing Outdoor Sensor: The outdoor temperature sensor, critical for proper operation, was not installed. No CO Alarm: A carbon monoxide alarm was not installed, which is essential for safety. Unprofessional Workmanship: Trash, including a metal duct pipe, was left in the crawl space near live electrical wires. Process Concerns Permit Delays: The company failed to file permits before starting work. I only discovered this after contacting the town permitting office myself. Mismanagement and Delays: The project stretched far beyond the promised timeline, with repeated excuses about missing parts and limited crew availability, despite prior assurances that the job would be completed in two days. Broken Promises: They claimed a project manager would take measurements in advance to ensure a smooth installation, but no one came. Additionally, they rescheduled initially, promising a larger crew, only to send a single plumber on the first day. Misinformation and Deception Throughout the project, I encountered multiple instances where Merrimack Valley Plumbing provided misleading or false information: - They lied about the dates permits were filed. - They claimed delivery issues caused delays, though they should have anticipated these based on the advance photos provided. - They repeatedly shifted blame rather than taking accountability for the delays and issues. Overall Experience While the boiler itself works, the installation was riddled with code violations, safety oversights, and poor workmanship. Additionally, the company’s lack of transparency and repeated dishonesty made an already frustrating situation worse. I would not recommend Merrimack Valley Plumbing to others. Their lack of professionalism, disregard for safety codes, and failure to take responsibility for their mistakes created an unnecessarily stressful and costly experience."

We are a full service residential plumbing, HVAC, and remodeling company serving the Boston area with fast, reliable and guaranteed service for over 50 years. We service oil burners, sell and install water purification systems, replace and repair water heaters and boilers, sell and Install sump pumps, service drains, and handle bathroom and kitchen remodels.

"It was frustrating and confusing having Barrell try to repair our system. The first time they came, they checked our interior system but did not check our AC condenser outside the house. That should have been a red flag. They ordered a blower wheel for our AC system but could not install it, saying it was either damaged or the technician didn't know how to install it properly. They ordered a new part, which did not come in. They ordered that same part again (blower wheel and motor). They installed the parts and claimed that the system was fixed. Unfortunately, they did not fix our system. We tried the AC and the heat (furnace) but neither worked; only the fan was working. We didn't want Barrell to come to our house again, since they seemed incompetent and didn't even document the work that they did, so we contacted a highly rated HVAC company on Angie's List. That company, B & G Heating and Air Conditioning, was excellent. They informed us of what they were doing and they fixed our system, quickly and professionally. Barrell had done the wiring wrong. We are happy that B & G was able to repair our system. At the same time, we have had to pay much more to get the job done since we had to hire a different company to complete the work."
