"Great job. I asked Darrin to replace my failed heat pump system and it was very quickly fInished. I thought the work was top tier, but the price was very reasonable. I'm very happy with the job that was done. Heat Pumps Plus is now my heat pump maintenance partner as well."

"Electrical service was great. A storm knocked out the power line to one if my rental units. They took care of the permits, repair and having it inspected with no hassle. My Tenant was very happy to have the lights and AC up and running. Price was good and the overall experience was painless. Will be using them from now on."

"The technician's (Tim and Chaun) that did the installing of my HVAC were courteous and professional. Tim made sure everything was working to his satisfaction before he left and told us he would check back in a day or so to make sure it was functioning properly. My wife and myself very pleased. I should also state two years ago we had a new HVAC installed by Swift and continually had problems with it. After many service calls with little luck correcting the issue, Swift installed a new unit. Five more stars to Swift for integrity!"

"Had a wonderful experience with the gentleman that came out to fix my air unit. It was not actually the unit itself, but the ductwork that goes from one side of the house to the other was in terrible condition. Definitely needed repair. Holes in it big enough to put a clothes basket in it was no wonder that It was amazing. Their service is great so I would definitely recommend them to anybody that had air-conditioning problems or plumbing problems. If I had a chance to give them a 10 instead of a five, I would definitely give them 10 stars. Thanks again guys."

FAQs for heat pump repair or service projects in North Myrtle Beach, SC

Heat pumps move air to cool or warm your home during different seasons. In cold weather, they extract heat from the outdoors and bring it inside to warm your home. In warm weather, they remove heat from your home to keep it cool. This efficient heat transfer increases indoor comfort, improves energy efficiency, and reduces the need for additional heating systems.

Replacing a heat pump costs between $4,200 and $7,900. The actual cost depends on the type of heat pump. Geothermal models are the most expensive to replace, with the price of the unit plus labor ranging between $6,000 and $20,000. Air source models cost between $4,500 and $8,000 to replace, while the replacement costs for a mini split unit run between $1,300 and $8,000.

The average heat pump is designed to last about 14 years, roughly the same as a central air conditioning system (12 to 15 years). Newer models can last 20 years or more. How long your heat pump lasts depends on how frequently you use it and whether you perform routine maintenance like annual tuneups.
