"As everyone notes, the Kinetico system is expensive--it wasn't the most expensive that we were quoted, but that is in part because they suggested a placement that saved us some money and hassle. The sales pitch could have been a little more focused, since we had already done our homework, but in the end it was hard to argue against the reputation of their equipment. We had a whole house water filter & softener installed, along with an undersink RO connected to our refrigerator. Michael and Joey did the install. It wasn't an easy install to do, but they were creative and figured out how best to make it work. The work itself is top notch. They were polite, professional, and answered all of my questions clearly. They tolerated my dog bothering them, and cleaned up nicely after their work. I have just had the installation done, and will likely follow up with another review after we've been using it for a while. (I know one of the common complaints is lock into the company for supplies, but I also understand that is part of the reason they can boast high quality.) Overall, I am quite pleased we decided to go with them."

"Aqua Science has been servicing our RO system and home water softener system for years. On this particular visit, the technician offered to service our hot water heater. He said it would give it "an extra year of life". Maybe he should've stayed in his own lane. Unbeknownst to us he did not know what he was doing, created a leak that shorted out the hot water heater and destroyed it. In the process, it leaked all over our brand new sheetrock, paint and baseboards in the garage - damaging the area beyond repair. Just our luck, the leak was slow enough not to notice and we headed out of town for the weekend only to come home to water pooled on the (also brand new) garage floor. That's not the worst part. The worst part is when we called for service to the hot water heater, it would be another 24 to 48 hours for a repair/replacement. And no offer to pay for any of the damage. We're still waiting for the callback on that repair. 😕 We called a real plumber and took care of the hot water heater. I guess we are out of luck on any other damage. How much do you want to bet that the repair men work on commission? I heard this nice local company was bought out by a big company and it all went downhill from there."
