"Charlie is great. If you have a chimney or fireplace then he is your guy! Honest and Trustworthy, professional work. He repaired a leak in our Chimney that was flooding our Fireplace and did it super quick and on time. He performed a full inspection inside our old chimney and found an issue that would make it unsafe to burn wood,so we are glad he found the issue before something dangerous would happen in the future. Since the chimney/fireplace system is out of date the issue could not be repaired without a full overhaul of the chimney- but Charlie didn't even charge us for the inspection since the issue would not be able to be repaired! Super honest guy ! His rate for fixing our leak was great and I was impressed by his work, he took photos of the issue up on the roof to show me before he started the repair. He also helped me to learn more about how my fireplace and chimney work. We will be converting the wood fireplace to a gas insert at some point in the future, and when we do, Charlie will be the guy we call to do the installation."

"Called up Wasson Roofing around 2/21/15.  The owner's wife(?) told me that they were very busy and that Forrest Wasson would call me back as soon as possible, in a day or two.  Forrest called me back a couple of days later and said that he would come out to look at the roof the next day.  He showed up early in the morning, as promised, and surveyed the roof/leak area.  He explained to me that he was very busy with trying to finish up some big roofing jobs between the rainy days and that it might be a month or so before he would be able to start on my roof.  Fair enough.  So I told him he was hired, and Forrest emailed me a written estimate with 2 different repair options the next day, as promised.  I agree to the more extensive roof repair option and sign the agreement and email it back to him on 3/5/15.  As earlier explained and expected, about a month later, Forrest calls me and schedules a day to start the repairs.  Forrest and his roofing crew show up early in the morning on the agreed upon day and start working on the roof.  They do the teardown and repair work in a few hours and finish up by 12 noon.  Even blew the leaves and pine needles out of my rain gutters!  Paid Wasson Roofing by check after he emailed me their invoice.  I didn't go inspect their work up on the roof until a month or so later.  I should've, because I found alot of roofing nails scattered all over the back side of the roof, along with pieces of cut shingles, paper shingle wrapping paper, etc.  Also found that one of the plastic mounting brackets for the evaporative cooler was cracked/broken.  Wasn't cracked/broken before they did the work because I had checked everything up on the roof before they came out to do the repairs.  Also, haven't gotten any rain yet since they did the repair work, so it still remains to be seen if the roof is leak free in the repaired area. <br />"

"The rep arrived within the time period promised.  He prepared the work site so he would keep any clean up to a minimum. He adjust the existing insert to provide maximum coverage.  He preformed the repair quickly and cleaned up the minimal mess it created.  He provided an invoice detailing the work he performed and instruction on how to cure the cement that was used for the repair.  He was pleasant, cordial and well informed about his trade."

"We had a very old wooden fence in our backyard that was practically falling over and after discussing it with our neighbor we decided that it was time to upgrade to a block wall. After all the usual due diligence searching for a contractor, we decided to go with G.F.A. Masonry. Best decision ever! Not only is George a really nice guy, but he and his crew were very professional. They were on time every morning , kept the job site clean (which is nice because it was my yard), they even asked if it would be ok to play music (which they kept at a normal volume so it didn’t bother my other neighbors). George said it would take 2-3 days to finish the wall, good to his word it was done in 2 and when they finished they cleaned everything up like they had never been here, even put up a temp fence to keep my dogs in the yard while we wait for the guy to come install our gate. We are very happy with our new wall, as is our neighbor. Looks great, and we’ll never have to do maintenance on a wooden fence again. Plus now our dogs can’t see into his yard and bark at his cat anymore. tl;dr Very Happy with our new block wall and will definitely hire George again the next time we need any concrete or masonry work done!"

"4/17/14 a check for all materials was issued $450.00 was given to him about a week prior to work starting. <br /> 4/22/14 He started the work and asked for another $200.00 after working on the fireplace leaving a balance of $200. <br /> 4/23/14 repair work was done and the door trap measured and phoned in to the company that makes it arrival to be determined (to be advised) and noted on the check memo box and job pain in full. Later I was told it I needed to pay a additional $25. Since David was working on a different project for me I added it to the check for the work he was doing on 5/16/14 , noting again on the check memo line it was for the ash plate/door. I still have not gotten this door. I have made several calls I was told he forgot then he stopped answering the phone and now I have left messages for 2 months and left a message before posting this review. <br /> FYI - According to the California state board deposit are 10% of a bid or $1,000 which ever is less."

"We wanted our air ducts cleaned for a home we purchased.  The ducts were very dirty.  I could reach my hand in and grab a bunch of dirt...yuck.   <br /> I got about 4 estimates and Jose from West Chimney was the least expensive and had some good reviews so decided to go with Jose. <br /> Jose stayed in good communication with me during the bid process, scheduling and then actually coming out to do the work. He was on time, and very friendly.   <br /> Based on the number of ducts we had, Jose estimated he would be done by about noon.  Well the dirt had other plans.  Jose realized how much work was going to be involved and let us know he would not be done by the original estimated time.  Instead he finished at about 4pm!  I don't think he even had lunch.  He stuck with his estimate for the final cost and the ducts and fireplace looked amazing.  We gave him a little extra due to the difficulty of the job.   <br /> Although our ducts will never get as dirty as they were, we would definitely use Jose again for duct cleaning or fireplace work.  <br /> <br />"

"We had noticed some sparks and a red glow at the top of our chimney and were concerned. He came out and took a look and saw that there had been some resin build-up in part of our chimney. He was able to clean that away, along with a thorough cleaning of our flu and chimney. He recommended that we use more hardwood, instead of softer woods such as pine, so that there would be less resin building up in our chimney."
