"The whole interaction with Louisville Spray Foam Insulation, INC, went very smoothly.  I emailed the company from Angie's List and got a prompt response back from Carlos.  He came out that week and gave me a quote and was very knowledgeable about his product, and was also very technical, which I appreciate very much.  He also warned me about proper code when installing spray foam insulation in a space that already has fiberglass batting insulation. He told me the batting insulation needs to be removed, and not to let anybody tell me any differently.  I had 4 quotes for this project and 2/4 of the companies, warned me that this needs to be done.  SO BUYER BEWARE when having spray foam insulation...make sure you hire someone that knows what they are doing. I hired Carlos because he gave me the best, most informative information about the spray foam insulation, technically how it works, the benefits, and also how to properly apply the foam.  He was able to come out a couple weeks later for the application.  Carlos and his crew were very professional, and easy to work with.  They were in and out in less than a day and cleaned up after themselves (my house looked cleaner after they left then when they got there).  This weekend was the first hot weekend this year, and our house felt comfortable both upstairs and down.  I would definitely recommend spray foam insulation and would absolutely use Louisville Spray Foam Insulation again!!!  They are professional, knowledgeable, very nice and have VERY FAIR prices!!!

"I was impressed by the workmanship on the installation itself. Though not familiar with the roofing trade, it struck me that the Beams crew did a better job than when our roof was first replaced 20 years ago.  Brad Rigney is extremely easy to work with.  As an engineer by both inclination and training, I had many questions and before and during the installation.  He always patiently and thoroughly addressed my concerns.  As expected with any project of size, there were a few glitches.  Brad was quick to respond to and rectify every issue I raised.  Product offerings, warranty coverage, and pricing were competitive.  I was thoroughly impressed that he understands the best route to continued success is both in doing a good job and in maintaining a good relationship with customers.

"It was a small job. They sealed the vents to the crawlspace, then, since there was already solid insulation panels on the walls, put a vapor/moisture barrier, in the form of a tarp, 4 feet wide and as long needed, completely around the crawlspace. It was then sealed to the walls with "nails" and adhesive. This seals the wood frame of the house from the 'Outside", the ground, which is the floor of the crawlspace. A 20 mil thick, quite heavy, "floor" was installed, also in the form of a tarp, It went up the walls about 3 feet and was taped to the 'tarp" on the walls, using a tape made for this application. The piers were wrapped with the same stuff and taped to seal the inside from the outside. the "floor" is also a vapor/moisture barrier, but, heavy enough to walk on if needed. This basically makes the crawlspace another room, rather than the outside. Our house is one year old and was already getting mold on the floor joists. Since the air in the crawlspace will now be heated in the winter and cooled in the summer, just like the rest of the house, the mold and cold (52 degrees) floors we experienced last winter will hopefully be eliminated. We shall see when dumb winter gets here."

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"I ordered this service because I don't like to go too high up on ladders and during Christmas light installation the previous year (first year owning this home), I found some standing water in a gutter, seam leakage and gutter pulling away from the home. At first I felt comfortable when I ordered the service because the company does have an A rating and I felt this was a great deal to have all the gutters cleaned if nothing else. There are a few reasons why I am not fully satisfied with the service provided on that day. First the appointment was at I believe 4 p.m. and I arrived home at approximately that same time. Big C arrived approximately 15-30 minutes later (not exactly sure). I was advised that they had arrived early and had already inspected the roof but went up the road to get a drink. Okay well that is fine, but I did not actually see the full inspection and I did not question or request that they actually do it while I was there. I did pay an additional $50 for a higher pitched roof and given the other things that I feel were missed or not fully performed, began questioning myself later if that was actually performed or not. The home is only 10 years old so I did not feel that there was going to be any roof damage or areas of concern. I pointed out where I thought the bad pitch, pulling away and leaks in the gutters were. These areas of the gutters were actually cleaned out because they did have leaves in them and this was performed. I was advised that this was the only problem with that portion of the gutters and the rest of the house looked clean. The pitch, pulling away and sealing seams were not addressed as a few days later with a rain I noticed leaking again around the seams in the exact spot where I had asked them to address. I inspected, there were no leaves but standing water. I will have to address again in the future. Secondly, I did provide my email address in order to have an estimate be sent for gutter covers in the area that needed to be cleaned. I was glad that I was told that this area was the only area that I would have to do and they did not attempt to sell me something that was not needed. The employee wrote down my email. I never received anything at all from the company in a form of an estimate. The employee did spend some extra time with me at the rear of the house explaining what could be done to prevent water from running over the gutters due to the design of the roof on the house. I appreciate that. The employee was professional while here but I don't think I would use the service again considering that the description of the service was not fully performed in my opinion and I did not receive a follow up email as requested for the estimate of the guards. Hopefully though this is just a one time thing and something else was mixed up like the email address. Not sure."

"We had a whole house hail damage claim for the roof, siding and gutters. After several calls and no show appointments from other companies, we saw a sign in the neighborhood and called Extreme Construction.
Mike went above and beyond what we expected, working with our insurance company to get additional coverage for the trim and other small items that weren't included on the initial damage claim. He was on time for every meeting and kept us informed of the progress as the work was going on. Having never had an insurance claim of this size before, we were worried about the possibility of extra charges or a lot of money out of pocket. Mike took the extra time to help us pick out colors for the house and  made sure that we knew the exact cost of the upgrades we chose. There was a little extra work to replace some rotted wood that insurance wouldn't cover and he called before it was done to get our OK on the cost. There were no surprises in the final bill - it was exactly what he said it would be.
Out of the entire positive experience, there was one other thing that really stood out. After we chose the siding color, Mike called us to let us know that a business at the end of our block who was in line before us had chosen the same color. We were so glad he did because not only did we not want to match a building just a few houses down, but it turned out we didn't like the color as much when we saw it in place.
Now we have a house that looks brand new and is one of the best looking houses on our street, thanks to Extreme Construction.
