"The company rapidly responded to the service request and booked an appointment with me in a timely fashion. Technician, John, arrived on time and did call 20-30 minutes prior to arrival. He was polite, profession and respected the property. Quickly diagnosed the issue and provided me with several options after showing me and explaining the issue with the fireplace. We hired Chimney.com to remove the old insert, rebuild the support, remove the brick surrounding the fireplace, install a new insert, and replace drywall. Long story short, they came, they saw, they fixed. The work was done on schedule, the team was thoughtful and cleaned and vacuumed the work area each day before leaving. "Wow! Amazing service. I must've called 8 different places in a panic trying to get the brick mounts which hold the mantel removed from my old fireplace so the surface could be prepped for a new TV. Seemed like an easy task (I thought), but it was a little more meticulous than I thought. I called this team and they arrived same day! Incredible customer service and expertise. Not only did they return the day after providing an estimate and remove the brick mounts, they actually re-fabricated the brick to make the holes disappear! This team knows their stuff!! "The repointing work was generally done well. Old mortar and bricks were removed and new bricks were installed. The craftsmanship was excellent. However, the color of the mortar used differed from that in the rest of the brickwork, so at present it stands out. Sixpenny said to wait a period and then re-evaluate whether any change should be made. I would rate this as an "A" but for the color difference in the mortar that was not expected. The chimney cap work was done well."

"It was an incredible experience. He does relining of chimneys. He was incredible. The fire box repair was like $2400 which was reasonable. I got several estimates and they were the most reasonable. Everything was done professionally. When they were finished there was no clean up. I'm a real estate agent so you know they've got to be good."

"The end result seems to be pretty good but the project had a lot of bumps with multiple visits by multiple crews. One crew dumped white liquid in two parts on the front lawn and killed grass, dumped fireplace ashes beneath a tree in the front yard, and dumped unused concrete (which then hardened) in the far corner of the back yard. Another crew failed to do the work to replace the concrete cap at the top of the chimney, so water dripped into the fireplace the next time it rained and another crew had to come to do the work, and the painting of the firebox had to be delayed while the fireplace dried out. Not sure if the supervision of the crews is not good or the company is using unreliable subcontractors, but the whole project was an adventure that I would not want to repeat."
