Jeremy came out and spent hours with us explaining what areas of our home needed to be insulated. He had this great tool which be infrared light, could show the hot and cold areas of the walls. That, and living in such a hot house, were all we needed to decide to go ahead with Clear Efficiency. In the end, our house is now so much cooler. Insulating was the answer for us! We are extremely satisfied with Jesse and Jeremy at Clear Efficiency!"

"I called a number of providers who weren't interested in doing my job because it was too small. I needed insulation only above a garage that I had newly finished. Insulation Pros was not only willing to do the job, but the price was exceptionally fair given the small space that needed to be done. The guys arrived on time, were polite and efficient, worked quickly without making a mess, and did more than I expected. What I mean by that is I had installed some storage and an exhaust fan in the attic area, and they went out of their way to install some baffles and dividers in the attic to keep the insulation from getting blown around too much around my storage space. I hadn't thought about doing that myself nor did I ask them for it and I really appreciate that they took it upon themselves to just take care of it because it was the right thing to do. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again and I would recommend them to anybody.

"Air conditioning in one zone stopped working over very hot weekend.  Called three companies to get a quote on possibly replacing both zones before I spent money on repairing a 17+ year old unit.
Diamond was the first company with availability.  Before they came over to give a quote, Bob called to ask me a few questions about the nature of the problem.  He speculated over the phone of what the problem might be and what the cost of fixing it would be.
He arrived for the appointment at the appointed time and proceeded immediately to fix the unit while talking to me about an estimate to replace both zones (2 systems).  He spent extra time hunting down an electrical connection issue in the unit and when done, checked out the flow readings of the system.
$258 dollars fixed the problem.  Since I had scheduled him for a quote, he offered to remove the new part that he had just installed or I could leave it in and if I decided to buy a new system, they would credit the repair of this unit back against it.  I elected to have him leave the fix in place.
Bob quoted me an exceptionally good price per unit for a quality Lennox system.  In fact a competitor who came the following day said that he wanted to see a copy of a written quote because Diamond's price was too good.
Although I've decided for the time being to not replace both systems, I would select Diamond Heating and Air in a second!

"The installation of the copper piping involved removing all galvanized piping and installing copper from beneath the house. Some walls needed to be cut into in order to replace the piping. All sheet rock was repaired and re-tiled where needed. The finish product was like new. There was 2 or 3 men working at all times, always doing their best to least interrupt our daily lives.We never saw the men take a break or waste any time. Very impressive.. Everyone was very punctual, on time when they said they would be. Dave Sargent, owner and his supervisor, Jessie, were always available with helpful advice and supervising the project. "They kept breaking the tiles on the roof they installed so they had to keep ordering new tiles to complete the job. The problem was they resorted to texting on occasion until they were asked to actually call us to resolve, which is not very professional. Our biggest concern is the solar installation. There were delays because they did not install the correct breaker. Now we found out that some of the panels are facing the wrong way and need to be re-positioned. We are unable to monitor the effectiveness of the system they put in even though they told us we would be able to. They're having trouble getting access to monitoring for us so they can see what is happening with our panels but we can't. They have continually asked for payment although they have not completed the job to our satisfaction. That was the same even when the roof wasn't completed they wanted payment. I would not recommend them to others. They were great at first but their responsiveness has been lacking and the work has continually gotten sloppier. Their demands for the payment have also become more frequent."

We added insulation to our attic to reduce our heating and cooling for the house and replaced 2 old windows . All the guys were great from Idan who evaluated our home, office staff and installers. "Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."

"Due to some renovation and repair work, there were large areas of ceiling over the kitchen and master bath where the insulation had been removed. The rest of the house had old cellulose insulation that had been settling for several years. All in all, in the winter cold the lack of insulation was noticeable. RJL Installation ran a special with a discount on Angie's List to pay $149 for $500 worth of installed attic insulation.  I bought the special and was contacted by RJL. I was really only wanting the areas where insulation was missing to be covered, but it turned out that the cost was not much greater to get the entire attic covered. I was somewhat taken aback by the total price ($1,149.50 on top of the original $149.00), but decided that the insulation was needed in any case, so that was why I gave the C rating for price. I felt a bit trapped because I had already paid for the discounting and didn't know how to get that money back if I had decided that I didn't want to pay as much as the final quoted price.
The installer thought that there should be some sort of access port or window or something to get into the attic from outside the house, and seemed surprised that the house was built with only a hallway ceiling opening for attic access. Once we established that that was, indeed, the only way to get up there, the installer proceeded to bring a large hose through the front door and the hallway and into the attic. When he was in place, his assistant started feeding compressed bales of fiberglass-like insulation through a machine that broke up the compressed insulation and "fluffed" it and blew it through the large hose to be blown in place. When the installation work was completed, I was invited to climb the ladder to take a look at the coverage, using a large flashlight as my light source. From the ladder, the insulation looked to be level across as much of the attic as I could see (almost all the attic, in truth), and appeared to be deep enough to be effective. When they were finished with the installation, the installer and his assistant borrowed a broom and managed to sweep up almost all of any insulation that had found its way to where it was not wanted.
All in all, an acceptable job. I thought about giving an overall rating of B, but except for the price, the other categories rated an A.
