"I also inquired as to several other projects I may or may not have done in the future.  One was the best way to get hot water into the kitchen and guest bath faster as I am having to run the hot water valve a long time to get hot water.  We also looked at my hot water heater to see if it was giving off any unusual amounts of calcium/iron deposits as I have some stains on my sinks that appear to be from that source.  Hot water heater seems ok for now.  Mike also gave me ideas on how to clean the calcium deposits and wax the master bath sink surface to have sink look shiny again. Last resort I could replace sinks. I inquired into having my spa tub motor serviced and Mike made a suggestion as to who could do a good job. There was never any pressure to do any additional work which I very much appreciated. <br />"

"Our water softener started leaking on a Friday afternoon -- understandably one of the worst possible times for getting help! I had to call Angie's list to get names of plumbers who supposedly had 24/7 and weekend appointments as I wasn't getting anywhere just calling companies listed from their website. I give them a C rating because on the positive side they did pick up the phone and I actually talked to a real person. (The mailbox of one company I called was full, several others I called I was only able to leave a voice message.) The negatives come in because 1) they actually are NOT 24/7, 2) they don't have a plumber available on Sundays and 3) I was quoted a fee of $165 for the first 1/2 hour, and then $82.50 per 1/2 hour after that. That is a pretty exorbitant fee!"

"I hired Hopper's Plumbing to install a new hot water heater in an older home I recently bought.  The current hot water heater was not working and nothing was to code.  I contacted Hopper's and was able to easily get an estimate scheduled.  I thought the price was great and they were able to schedule the job within a week of the estimate which I thought was nice.  I also had them install an new dryer vent duct as well as a new kitchen faucet.  I could not be there for the actual install, however another family member was there and she was happy with the service as well.  It turned out the work took longer than what was originally quoted, however they didn't charge me more than the original price which I thought was very respectable.  I would definitely use them again for future plumbing needs. <br />"
