"I made this appointment in early October and was told I would receive a confirming call the day before service. As promised I received a call on the 14th confirming the appointment. As the time came on the 15th for John to arrive I received an updating call to give me a real-time estimate as to when John would arrive. John's first order of business was to vacuum out the stove and inspect the interior of the stove. He then inspected the stove pipe to insure that it was in good shape. He also inspected the spark arrester on the roof and made sure it was clean and in good shape. Then came the actual sweeping. After that John re-cleaned the interior of the stove, cleaned and inspected the door of the stove, cleaned the exterior of the stove and all it's nooks and crannies. John recommended that I might need to have a few bricks replaced by next year and let me know that he could plan for that for me. We made arrangements for me to be placed on his call back list for next year. He did a great job! Thank you so very much for such a great job and such wonderful service! <br />"

"Mr Raygozza was hired to supply labor to repair dry rot in a bathroom floor, install a new angle stop for the new toilet, install new sub floor and put down linoleum squares. He also repaired the lower bathroom. The drywall needed to be replace from water damage from the upper toilet. He installed a new vanity, sink and fixtures. He replaced the angle stops for the sink and put down linoleum squares on the floor. My 33 year old son assisted in anything Mr  Raygozza needed. Parts running, painting, cleaning etc. Mr Raygozza did an excellent job. He showed up on time, performed the task that we talked about and completed the job on time and in a very professional manner. I hesitated to give him a good review, because I didn't want him to get to busy to work for me again. I have work at my residence that I will definitely be using  his services again. <br />"

"So far all the work is completed and it looks beautiful and the fireplace runs well. The fireplace door needs adjusting and they are supposed to come back soon to do this. The only negative thing was the scheduling. Our estimated schedule date got pushed out once but the re-assigned start date also got delayed. This 2nd delay was only pushed out one day but we were told on Friday that the installer couldn't be here for the Monday install date. I had arranged for time off work a long time ago for the Monday installation so that was irritating."

"He was on time and worked efficiently. He worked from the fireplace, not the roof, pushing the chimney sweep broom upwards, until it met the “spark arrester”, which is near the top of the chimney. He used a drop cloth to protect the carpet. As for the inspection, he found no problems with my chimney. He looked at the outside of it and also got on the roof briefly. He said he was mainly looking for cracks in the cement, between the bricks. (Especially for deep cracks, that could be caused by an earthquake.) He was happy to answer my many questions."

We scheduled the repair day without much fuss, and he arrived on time and was organized. The roof repair was done to spec and he also went out of his way to deliver additional repair needs that surfaced in the same area. This included getting boards above gutter painted after discovering that it needed to be replaced, and they would show on the underside. The charges for additional work seemed reasonable. I called around and found that many chimney service providers were unresponsive or quoted 4 week lead times. While busy, the Chimney Cricket scheduled an appointment within 2 weeks and after a cancellation was able to pull the appointment in w/n 10 days. Chimney Cricket was very professional. They laid down protective sheets and tented the fireplace while the work was performed. Despite a poorly designed flue, they were able to repair and rebuild the flue pivot, and to clean my chimney thoroughly, all in about 2 hours."
