"Absolutely the worst experience with a plumber! Had them come out to give an estimate on moving a drain for a bathroom remodel. That tech did a great job. Quoted us a fair price to come back and do the finishing work on our shower and sink. That's where the nightmare starts. They sent a totally incompetent plumber in his place, claimed he couldn't do the work, because he was afraid of cracking our tile. He sat around for hours at our house trying to figure out how to put the shower head in. He had to call two other experienced plumbers to get it hooked up. Fast forward to today- first time using the shower the valve only goes from scalding hot to ice cold. Sink fixtures leaking into the bottom of the vanity. Same guy comes back out and says we have a faulty valve. we go the same day to get a new valve- they return again saying it still doesn't work- instead quotes us an extra 800 dollars to get it to work- We kicked them out- will hire someone else- What a joke"

"A little on the pricey side but not that much more than others. Thing was, when Ben showed up I was expecting a two or three day wait but he told me that he could get right on it. Soon he was on the phone and before you know it I had more Downing trucks in my drive than a plumbers convention. The wife and I laughed that the neighbors probably thought that we must have had a major plumbing failure. Soon Dave showed up to assist with the installation and in just a few hours our shiny new tubs and faucets were ready to go. All of the workmen were very polite and capable. This is the third time that I've used Downing in as many years and I am satisfied. Thanks guys."

"Total disaster. First off Maglish was sold to ABC, a company in Illinois. So you are not dealing with Maglish, it's ABC. The pilot light went out on my water heater bought from Maglish. It is only 3 years old, it is under warranty, and needs a new igniter/flame sensor. ABC quoted an astronomical 2k price range to swap out the igniter! They even refused to honor the warranty and give me the part so I could have a reasonable professional install it. Now we have no hot water for the indefinite future. I am working with actual reputable local companies to fix the problem."

"OSBY Installed a water softener system in my new home in Cedar Lake,IN and put the regeneration and overflow to my sump pump and not my sanitary drain. Their system malfunctioned and sent salt water to my sump pit which pumped pure salt water on the side of my house, killing over 100FT of new sod. When I called and told the service tech what happened, I was told that OSBY should have never put the piping to my sump pump. OSBY Came out and said to give it a few weeks and if the grass didn't come back, they would replace. After one month they said they would not replace my sod and proceeded to tell me that they didn't need my money and if I wasn't happy they would remover their system and refund my money, of which I gladly took them up on. They refuse to take responsibility of the damage their system caused to not only my, but my neighbors grass and will not reimburse me for the $500 it cost me to have my grass replaced. This is not a standup company! They will tell you anything to sell you there equipment, and wont take responsibility when there equipment that was installed wrong, make things right. When they came to pick up their faulty equipment, they wanted me to sign a receipt stating that my floor drain was clogged, sending salt water to my sump pit. A HUGE LIE!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY"
