"The owner and his team were highly professional. We were very impressed with the mason who fixed some of the bricks at the base of the fireplace inside the home. Very detailed work. The owner came for the estimate and was very detailed in providing us with two alternative approaches (rebuilding the large chimney or tearing it down and sealing the roof) and explaining "why" the current leaking existed. He set expectations up front for when and how the work would take place and this is very important when working with service organizations (contractors!)."

"When some workers were on my roof fixing a broken shingle, they noticed that the bricks on my chimney looked like they were crumbling. I called Thompson's Masonry to get an estimate of repair work. Bob Thompson came out right away, and recommended a complete chimney rebuild. He also gave me an estimate for replacing some damaged bricks and tuckpointing and sealing the brickwork on the front of my house, which was in pretty bad shape. When I spoke to Bob, he agreed to take off $100 if I had both done at the same time, which I really appreciated since they were both fairly big expenses. (He also offered to honor the estimate for the brickwork on the front next spring if I decided to just do the chimney and wait on the rest, but I decided to go ahead with both). Bob was great - friendly and professional. He called me back right away, answered all of my questions, and showed up when he said he would. He was able to match the bricks and mortar color of the existing brickwork. He even fixed the tuckpointing on my front steps, which another group had "fixed" (badly) in the spring, so it matched. Everything looks great. I would definitely call him again if I need any masonry work done.

"Look no further! Century Chimney saves the day, Tyler and Zach arrived on time and kept my house as clean as it was before they got here. They used a camera to inspect the inside of the liner, which no other sweep had done before. They found exposed wood that was charred, and an approximately 6" hole in the middle of the system! I had been using this fireplace for several years before I met the guys from Century!! My last sweep didn't find any of these issues. Tyler and Zach just may have saved our lives. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!"

"Actually I bought it through Angie's List. I had them come out and perform the service last week. The person who came out to do the service was fine and was a nice, personable fellow. He was considerate of the property. The price was as expected. There were no extra services they were trying to sell and charge me more. They came out and did almost exactly what they said they would. One of the service included in there is a video feed of before and after, because you can't really tell whether your ducting is clean or not. The air duct is not something visible. It is not like you are going to see dust spewing out of your vent registers so one of the things they offered when I bought it was a video feed of before and after of the photograph of it. I didn't see that. I was not aware that there would be a limitation on taking photographs or videos if the duct is a certain size or anything like anything like that. When the guy came out he said he just can't do that so I did not get the before and after photo so we would have a physical confirmation on whether the service was really necessary or not. Regardless I bought the service so I would have gotten it done, but it would have been nice to know that. That was the big thing to sell from their point of view. There were actually a couple of bigger issues that showed up after the work was performed. He explained what he was doing and he worked hard. It was only one fellow that showed up. He seemed to have done whatever he was supposed to do. At the end of the service we had requested that the air conditioning be turned back on to make sure all the system performs correctly. I started to have problems with the furnace blower -- the fan would go on and then go off in a couple of seconds. He suggested that I call either HVAC service people or electricians because he thought there was some issue with the electrical associated with the house remodeling. To which I responded back to him and said the house had been running fine until that morning that he showed up. After he left I went back down to the furnace room to double check why things are not coming on. What I noticed was that he pinched a wire that comes from the thermostat into the furnace blower so none of that was working correctly. I un-pinched the wire and it started to work correctly. So my issue with that was that he did not inspect his after work. He did not check his work. The real safety issue is that he blew out the pilot light on my furnace. He should have checked the pilot light on a gas furnace. I relit it and things were good, but if I had not done that it is a safety issue.

"Michael Nelson and his assistant Josh did a fantastic and highly professional job with our entire Great Room ceramic tile installation. Michael’s skill and experience promoted beautiful transition ideas and results while mating the new flooring to the surrounding surfaces, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. He also did a stellar job in cutting and installing travertine stone to our newly designed fireplace, and readily worked with me to accommodate a tricky hidden electrical outlet. Their final clean up was also excellent. Both Gentlemen were always prompt, courteous, and professional, as well as friendly. We definitely will seek their services for any future plans."

"The final product looks good and the Deal I purchased for the service was a good price. A piece of trim in my bathroom was broken in the tiling process, which at first I was upset about because the workers left without telling me about it. However, when I asked about it they sent someone to fix it and the employee told me the other guy hadn't told him about it or they would have said something, so it all worked out okay. I would use this provider again, I appreciate that they took the time to come fix the issue. The employees worked very hard and were polite. The owner helped me figure out what to do about some troublesome issues (heater and window in the shower) so I appreciated that.

"Chimney flues were replaced. Brick at the top of chimney was replaced - matches nicely. Front steps were rebuilt with new brick and using the original sandstone tops. Mortar was dyed to match existing mortar. Great job!
