"Don't let the owner's youthful appearance fool you; he knows permits, codes, safety, and his craft. Our chimney was separating from the house (result of last year's earthquake) by millimeters, but it was a safety issue. He explored alternatives with us, and re-build was the best, safe option. His estimate came in lower than two others. The crew worked steadily, used bricks that were a virtual match, and the owner paused to answer any questions that we posed. This is a several-day, messy job, but the crew spent two half-days cleaning debris, raking, inspecting, and cleaning some more. All A's. Finest Chimney has our unqualified recommendation."

"The job went fine. They also did follow up. They were okay. We had a part that was under warranty going out. It took the guy couple of weeks to replace because he didn't have that particular part on hand. The guy who owns the company was little spacey. I would recommend them. Once he finally got the part, he came out and installed on the actual initial installation of the stove. They came and told they were going to come. It took longer than they told it would. There wasn't any issue managing them. They came and did the job in the timeframe they told they would do it. There were not much thoughts that they got it done."

"The owner of Stone Depot, Nick Papas, offers hands on professional service.   I am a realtor, so great service is part of my professional standard and I appreciate it in others.  Nick was always available by phone and was very responsive.  I was nervous about selecting my granite, and I changed my mind at the last minute.   Nick was very gracious and allowed me to select another granite that I preferred. His team arrived for the installation on time and did an outstanding job.  The was a minor issue with caulking, and Nick sent someone out the next day to finish it off.  I could not be more happy with my granite and Stone Depot.  I was advised to personally select my slab of granite - which I did.  All granite is different, so that was good advice.  The location for selection was in Sterling VA, which was great for me since I live in VA.
I also checked out Counter Intelligence, but found the salesman was not very concerned and did not go the extra mile to get my business.  I  had to drive all the way to Silver Spring MD to look at samples of granite slabs.  That was to far to go.  Also, their price quote was higher.  The smaller company atmosphere at Stone Depot was a much better choice for me.  I highly recommend them!

"I could not get the pilot to stay lit and thought I needed a tune-up so I scheduled an appointment to claim the deal. Vitaliy called to say he would be late because his truck broke down. He showed up and diagnosed the problem as a worn out pilot assembly. He called his supplier to try to get the part but they did not have it. He told me he would track it down elsewhere and call me back. He called back twice--once to let me know he had found the part and once to schedule a time to install it. He showed up on time and did the work cleanly and quickly. He showed me the worn out part. The cost of the part was $204.86 which was more than he charged for his labor. He cleaned the glass and put it all back together with no mess. Fireplace is working great again."

"After receiving quotes from several granite vendors we chose Granite Works.  Their pricing was on par with the other vendors; however, their selection was better and we had confidence in our salesman Bruno.  We were able to select our granite from the slabs in their yard.  The appointments for measuring and installation were timely.  The installer, Marco, did an outstanding job -- he and his helper were in and out in about three hours.  The installation included removing the old countertop, installing the under mount sink and new faucet..  It's been a year since the installation and we could not be happier with our purchase.

"We had been told by a home inspector and another chimney sweep/repair company that we needed to replace our damper with a new lock-top damper requiring an adapter - a costly repair on our budget.   Prior to committing to the repair, we called A&T to come out and give us a second opinion.  Dennis from A&T evaluated our chimney and determined that the damper was basically fine but just a little rusty.   They applied some oil to the damper so it would move more freely and that was that.  
Not only did they save us hundreds of dollars on a repair we didn't need, they charged $0 for the visit and the (admittedly minor) work.  Dennis also pointed out another important repair that was needed - the heat reflecting panels that line the inside of the fireplace were cracked, which is a potential fire hazard.  This hadn't even been mentioned by the home inspector or the other chimney company.
So although I can't judge the quality of their work beyond applying a bit of oil, I can attest to their courtesy, integrity and professionalism and say that  from now on, I will call them first for all of my chimney needs.
