I enjoy the entire process; from design, installation, and the finishing touches of new outdoor living spaces. I worked in this field most of my life, since I was born and raised in Europe where I worked with stone, masonry and pavers frequently. After I moved to America, I decided to pursue a career in hardscaping. I have now worked in this industry for many years and I will continue to provide quality workmanship. We started in this industry in 2000. We describe our business as Family owned and operated. Let us elevate your backyard into a stylish outdoor living space, perfect for entertaining and creating lasting memories with family!. We provide expert project planning, professional paver installation, unique vertical features, and ongoing maintenance to seamlessly blend your indoor and outdoor spaces.

"Job was completed according to schedule, they took pride in their work, and I was very pleased with the outcome. I definitely would call them back for future work."

Cost is determined by the job and work needing completed. I am able to work hourly or by job estimate.

"Great. They didn’t need to actually sweep the chimney, and didn’t bother going through the motions just to increase the bill."

Award winning.

"Planned on (1) adding a ceiling fan to the living room where there wasn't any before. Wire two switches separate for dimmer and fan next to an existing switch. (2) Fix a pedestal sink in Master Bath which was not installed properly by the previous owner. (3) Add a new electrical outlet to the kitchen above an existing inaccessible outlet behind a counter. (4) Move an existing light fixture in main bath up one electrical box distance so it doesn't get hit by a cabinet door when the door is opened. (5) Mount a fluorescent light fixture in garage. (6) Weather strip two Metal doors, front and indoor garage. (7) Add a power outlet and switch to a coat closet for a new light fixture. (8) Add end cap to existing counter top. (9) Redo kitchen sink sprayer hose, but turned out a new faucet was needed, so they installed the new one. (10) Installed a new dryer vent. (11) Add outdoor vent to oven hood. Outcome, in order: I actually had all the materials needed except some minor hardware. They covered everything and despite the volume of cleanup, it was in great shape after they were done. Pictures are included. (1) Ceiling fan went flawless except for some minor chipping by new electrical boxes. They fixed on the second trip to reinstall pedestal sink. (2) Pedestal sink was a wonderful job, nice and secure now. It did take two trips as the wall repair to properly mount the sink needed time to dry. I also got the chance to paint BEHIND the sink while it wasn't there. (3) Original electrical outlet in kitchen had a loose wire so the two outlets in the dining room went dead. They returned, fixed in 10 minutes. (4) Fixture perfectly mounted. Although they could have smoothed out the new "mud" a bit more so sanding wouldn't be needed as bad. (5) Mounted with two screws in 5 minutes on second day. I already had it wired. (6) The magnetic weatherstripping was postponed to better weather. Need to convert from Magnetic stapled style to the new kerf style mounting because original style of magnetic replacements are now obsolete. (7) Installed perfectly, but light switch on other side of wall which was source of power was reinstalled so off was up. (I fixed.) (8) End cap installation postponed to next time they are here for weatherstrip and oven hood vent. (9) Kitchen sink now fully functional, new under-sink valves were needed also. All fixed. (10) Dryer vent perfectly installed where needed. (11) Oven hood vent postponed to better weather. All postponed jobs will be done on the next visit when weather breaks. These jobs were performed in mid-winter. Ann was a little hard to get a hold of at first, but it improved greatly as time went on. I found that email worked out better for our particular conversations. Pictures were taken during first visit. Do I recommend? Yes, they are Highly Recommended."

FAQs for brick or stone fireplace repair projects in Wadsworth, OH

Tuckpointing an 8-by-8-foot brick wall section costs between $300 and $1,600, with variations based on mortar condition and accessibility. Walls with intricate brickwork patterns or severely deteriorated mortar tend toward the higher end of this range. Ground-level walls with minimal damage cost less than elevated surfaces or those requiring extensive preparation.

The cost reflects the labor-intensive nature of properly removing damaged mortar without harming surrounding bricks, plus the skilled craftsmanship needed to apply new material correctly. Professional tuckpointing requires specialized tools, material knowledge, and precise application techniques. The investment provides significant value by preventing water damage that could lead to extensive structural repairs costing many times more than preventative maintenance.

To estimate tuckpointing expenses, multiply the area's square footage by the appropriate rate ($5 to $25 per square foot) based on project complexity. Add adjustments for factors like height requirements, accessibility challenges, or specialized materials. For chimney work or other difficult-to-access areas, expect rates toward the upper end of the range. Professional assessments provide the most accurate projections for your specific situation.

While technically possible for small areas, DIY tuckpointing presents significant challenges, including proper mortar removal without brick damage, achieving a consistent joint appearance, and ensuring structural integrity. The process requires specialized tools and materials along with physical dexterity. Professional masons bring experience in identifying underlying issues that might not be apparent to untrained observers. Complex or structurally significant areas should always be entrusted to qualified professionals.

The frequency of tuckpointing depends on environmental exposure, original masonry installation quality, and local climate conditions. Regular inspections, particularly of chimneys and weather-exposed walls, help identify deterioration before it becomes severe. Addressing small areas of deterioration promptly can extend the life of the overall masonry system and prevent more extensive repairs in the future.

While both processes replace deteriorated mortar, tuckpointing involves additional aesthetic enhancement. Repointing simply restores structural integrity by replacing damaged mortar with new material. Tuckpointing adds a decorative element by creating contrasting lines that give the appearance of precision joints. This additional craftsmanship explains why repointing costs $3 to $15 per square foot while tuckpointing ranges from $5 to $25 per square foot.
