"Everything went very smoothly. Kevin provided an estimate within a few days of us contacting Renaissance and kept me informed about their schedule. Kevin and John were actually able to start a few days earlier than expected. They removed all the old mortar and bad bricks, then repaired and repointed everything, including where the brick part of the foundation meets the fieldstone section. They arrived promptly each morning and left the area very tidy at the end of the job. We would definitely hire them again."

"I got quotes from three companies. Derek's was the middle quote but he was the only one that actually took the time to explain everything to me and he figured out how we could get an even larger insert in the fireplace where one other company told me they couldn't make it any larger and the third company said he could only replace it with what was already there. Derek showed up on time and the fireplace works great. He also added the brick backer kit and a blower with a remote. I did have an issue with the fireplace after installation where it kept making a loud pinging noise. Derek came back and swapped the entire unit out and re-did the tile surround with any complaints. His team also made sure to clean up after each day. Overall it looks great and I'm going to have Derek add another fireplace shortly."

They installed a new stainless steel liner after showing us the cracked clay flue and clearly explaining why we should have a liner installed and the benefits, install process, timeframe, etc. They also performed some work in the fireplace to seal it, as the wood mantle was actually visible from within the fireplace due to poor initial construction. They also performed some minor repointing of the interior fireplace brickwork."
