"Very good meeting, as the inspector was very professional, experienced and shared his expert knowledge by providing a conversational walk-through, while performing his testing and analysis of the history of the fireplaces, their current state of operation in terms of being up-to-code, their efficiency and safety with regards to any potential existing, visual hazards or risks. He was prompt, friendly and clean with his respect of the work area and with his equipment. He encouraged questions and provided explanations in layman terms; "what if" scenarios; clarified his opinions from his qualified recommendations regarding Next Steps required to ensure the best quality for the homeowners from each fireplace. Company has a long history with high standards and reputable with other professionals in the industry (e.g., plumbers required to install a new gas line for the installation of a gas insert fireplace). He shared his preliminary feedback on his findings on site with us and follow-up in less than a day with his report, detailing all the options involved for us to make an informed decision on the required work involved to make a fireplace "up to code" (including costs, time frame to complete each option, and priority for what must be handled urgently in the short term with the outside chimney vs the timing of the work to the inside fireplace for our budget planning). His report summarized our conversations during the inspection and pictures from his camera, so there were no surprises to us. He confirmed we had all our questions and concerns answered before he left that inspection. I’m confident I was well educated and informed to make our final decision."

"From the very beginning, Jamie Shea was easy to work and very personable. He helped us pick the right color and proper stone to update the look of the fireplace. Once we selected the stone, Jamie made a site visit to measure the fireplace and walk us through the process. From the day we signed the contract to the date of the install, he was prompt and courteous. The mason crew Jamie works with, were prompt, courteous and did outstanding work. We couldn’t be happier with the finished project. The fireplace is a now beautiful focal point in our living room. I would highly recommend Fireside Hearth and Home. And if you are lucky enough to work with Jamie Shea, you will very be pleased with his positive, can do attitude."

"Our chimney had some water damage and we needed to find a company that would take it down to a certain level in order to mitigate the bricks that were damaged as well as have it be a certain height for the gas fireplace we were having installed to be properly vented out of. On of top of that we needed a chase pan built and placed on top to make sure no more water damage occurred. Guardian Chimney Solutions was able to tackle the job with no problem! Joseph was very responsive with all the questions we had and was able to walk us through the steps. He was able to fit us in to his busy schedule in order to make our timeline of getting the chimney work done before the gas fireplace went in. His team went above and beyond the day that they were here. The way in which our chimney was built made it very hard to deconstruct the crown at the top. The job took longer than they expected but they still stayed until they finished the job and were very kind and respectful to my family and neighbors as they worked. Even though the job took twice as long as they had planned, they still honored their original quote. Our chimney looks great! We highly recommend Guardian Chimney Solutions."

"We hired Nick's Chimney Service & Duct Cleaning to do a full fireplace and chimney cleaning. The team of two guys were great to work with and very clean. There was no dust or ashes left over when they were done. I will be calling them again for the next cleaning and may even use them for a duct cleaning."

"They delivered the products that we had agreed on. They came and gave an estimate to do our landscaping but no drawing or planning...just a final cost. It also took more than one day to typically get a return phone call.

"Justin was awesome and we would highly recommend him to anyone! He was very thorough with the inspection and took the time to answer all of our questions. He gave us great details, as far as critical items and simple repairs, with everything he found. He also had great advice for simple maintenance of other items in and around the home. Justin is also a contractor, which is great, because that gives him the knowledge to not just know what to look for, but how to take care of it the correct way. He can also be hired after inspection to do certain repair/install work for you. Don't waste time researching other inspectors and price shopping. JJ Inspections is priced very well, and well worth the price!!"

"Called another company originally they asked how old the furnace is and I said about 5 yrs. old (it is 6 yrs old). They informed me that I should get a hold of the company that put it in because it should still be under warranty, which after I looked it was. So I called Service Today to set up an appt. to have them look at it. Andrew came out and with various questions asked I said that the thermostat we have is wifi and that is how we run it. Comcast upgraded the wifi in the neighborhood the day before and it was today I woke up and noticed that the thermostat wifi was not connected to the wifi anymore. He looked into it and noticed that when I put it on heat via by phone app or manually by the wall thermostat, it was turning on the A/C instead and visa versa. He came at a price to me of about $350 to run a diagnostic to find the issue. He did and then he comes back and tells me that the thermostat itself is burn out (I bought the thermostat from them when I had the new furnace installed 6 yrs. ago). Andrew goes to his van and of course comes with only 2 thermostats that he has on hand. One is not wifi and it was $350 or so and the other was $800 which was wifi programmable. He did say we could just go and get one from Best Buy or something but we would have to install it. We decided on the lower cost of the 2. As he was installing it I looked up the retail cost for the same exact one he was putting in (Honeywell T4Pro) and it was $75 at Best Buy. I mean really.........that much of a mark up in cost!!! It is like this company does not understand that we are in a pandemic and that money for so many people is really really tight!! To gouge customers like that. As I sat in my office crying about the cost I let myself get washed into, after a while I asked Andrew why such a big cost increase on the thermostat. He said he has nothing to do with the pricing of items, which I understood. Andrew was a nice guy and just doing his job. I put this gouging at the feet of the company because right now, people have to decide to either pay a heating/electric/etc. bill or pay a company a massive cost to have a thermostat put in. Andrew did take down some wires that were for a humidifier that was on the old furnace prior to installing the new one and also cleaned some dust and lint from the furnace. Will I call these guys again, only if I know that there is something wrong with the furnace that is under warranty still, other then that, I cannot afford them. They were better when they were Airtech. The C rating I gave it has more to do with how nice Andrew was then the company. For the company itself, I give it an F"
