"I researched and found Devon and his company were very well reviewed and he was great on the phone. We have a 1904 home with vermiculite and old batting for insulation in the attic. Devon came out to the house and was planning to do the removal of the old insulation but the vermiculite was determined to have asbestos, so we had everything in the attic remediated. Devon told me about the ZAI Trust and I was able to submit a claim for the abatement and reinsulation. Devon also discovered that a small roof off the kitchen/dining area was uninsulated as well as the dormer roof and the ensuite below it. We had to reschedule suddenly due to Mum being admitted to the ER, and Devon had no issue with this at all, and was very supportive. Devon and his team did an amazing job! What great people! They worked so hard and the spackling job to cover the holes was terrific. We just primed and painted. Devon will be back here to review the insulation status in the rest of the home, as the old foam insulation may need to be supplemented. "We had been living in our house for 5 years and although the kitchen was a new addition, every winter my wife & I had noticed how noticeably the temperature differentiated especially after the winter of 2014/15.  And because it was a dirt floor with some wood and old construction debris strewn about.  I was not so keen on staying down there.  In doing my own investigation there was some piping and insulation under floor.
So when investigating estimates we called a number of "green" companies.  Out of the three companies that came, only Frank Petrullo with Eco Green Solutions, noticed the mold and a water leak coming from fridge line.  He took the time to show me where the water was coming, how mold had proliferated on the wood floor joists and beams.  The dirt floor was somewhat moist and light was visible from outside along foundation rim contributing to the mold and moisture in crawl space.  He explained each of our options and detailed the steps in sections of each estimate.
We opted to have a plumber fix the water leak, then franks crew came in, cleaned up the mold, then layed down the crawl space membrane, finally insulating floor & rim joist.  All in under two days.  The crew showed up on time, left the open sections of the house clean, and we immediately noticed a difference in kitchen and rest of house.  Walking around bare foot in kitchen is more comfortable, the kitchen is less noisy, and house humidity is maintained.

"Rich was extremely professional and his crew was polite and respectful of my property. They were as neat and tidy as you can be with roof work. The roof looks terrific. I'm extremely happy with the work. I recommend Rich and company with confidence. In retrospect, I'm sorry Rich and I didn't discuss installing new insulation while the roof was open. Insulating while they were roofing would have saved me the additional step of having to do it later. That's the only thing I would have done differently. Nonetheless, the roof looks great and the job was completed quickly and professionally. One other note: Before hiring Rich, I called three roofers for estimates. One roofer sent a "salesperson" to close the deal. Their prices were in range with Rich's prices, but I was skeptical about meeting a "salesperson" rather than the contractor. Another roofer showed up, looked around, told me he was familiar with my house type so he didn't need to measure and said he would get back to me with an estimate. I never heard from him despite the several messages I left at his office. Rich was the third roofer to come by. He measured, he explained the product, he gave me a timeline, and he calculated a price. I'm glad I followed my gut and hired him on the spot. It was a smart decision."

"It went well. Was $1,750 for taking out the insulation and putting the blown-in cellulose insulation in. They were quick and it only took them about 2 hours. The workers didn't know that the present insulation was to be taken out. It wasn't on the contract, but the salesperson should have communicated that to the workers. Once I explained that that is what the salesperson said would happen, they were OK with doing it. The company owner did not show up on the day of the project. Other than those 2 things, I think they did a good job."

"I had hired Nick a couple of years ago to paint the outside of the house I was living in. His men did an incredible job. When I bought my apartment, I called him in to do the work. I did not even bother to get another estimate. He is expensive, and worth every penny. He painted a 2400 sq. ft. apartment to my color specifications, hung wallpaper, removed a closet door and framed it out for a new bifold door, attached door stops and switch and outlet plates, had his electrician  hang fixtures, and do wiring for TV and internet. "Joey Jacinto was prompt, courteous, and happy to share his extensive knowledge. With his infrared camera we could see where the major loss of heat was occurring. Much to our surprise, our walls turned out to be insulated and the attic insulation was adequate.   I called  Devito's Home Improvements and spoke directly to the owner Justin Devito to arrange for a free in home estimate regarding a tub conversion to a shower or full bathroom renovation.  Justin was able to provide me with an immediate appointment that worked well with my schedule needs.  Justin arrived in a timely manner on the date and time that he said he would and presented in a professional manner.  Justin accessed the bathroom area and listened to what I, the home owner wanted to have done.  I was interested also in using tile that I already owned, Justin reassured me that I could utilize those tiles as well as select any additional tiles needed. There were several options availed to me regarding the tub to shower conversion verses having the entire bathroom renovated.  Justin provided his professional opinion noting that he would advise doing the entire bathroom as it would constitute a capital improvement and would thus save on tax costs as well as would be more cost effective than doing the job in two separate parts.  I felt very confident that this contractor was only looking out for my best interest.  Justin provided me with two estimates both included all labor as well as any building materials needed for my specific job.  I was to provide all fixtures, shower doors, vanity, sink top, vent fan, light fixture, mirror, tiles, and grouts.  Justin also provided me with all quantities of square footage/running feet for the various tiles needed.  Justin also added that he would pick up all the supplies that were set aside for him on will calls at the local home improvement locations.  Without me initiating a concern about my family having access to restroom facilities during the evening and morning hours, Justin reassured me that at the end of each work day my toilet would be reset and available for usage.  I was well impressed by his concern of the homeowner's needs.  Other contractors told me good luck, your going to have to go to a hotel for the duration of the project as your facilities will be non operational!  After Justin answered all of my questions and concerns regarding the project, I then confronted him with a challenging start date which would take place in a few days as I wanted to tie it in with an up coming vacation time that was already scheduled on my behalf.  Justin was up to the challenge and agreed to the start date of 12/15/2014, the agreement was made, my bathroom was to be fully renovated by Devito's Home Improvement.

   With advance notice and concern for my approval, the start date was adjusted for an foreseen personal matter on behalf of the contractor by one day, however I was reassured by Justin that the work would be completed as agreed on 12/20/2014.  On Tuesday 12/16/2014 Devito's Home Improvement Company arrived at my home in Port Jefferson Station at 8:30 A.M. with the owner Justin Devito along with two assistants and a full sized and fully equipped company truck and trailer. Introductions were made and the work was about to begin. The workers laid protective drop cloths throughout the area they walked through and worked in.  Demolition work was the first phase.  All building debris was carefully removed and carried to the trailer.  The entire bathroom was gutted the first day.  Restoration took place the following day...sheet rock, cement board etc. was installed.  Each day another phase took place to bring my bathroom closer to completion. The assistants did an excellent job and were meticulous with everything they worked on.  The assistant that worked on the tiling needs took great pride in his work maintaining consistency throughout the tile design and grout lines.  I would like to add that without asking, my toilet was available for usage at the end of each work day, except for one day when the bathroom floor was placed.  At the completion of each day the assistants made sure that everything they used was stored away, drop cloths were collected and the floor and any work area used was broom swept both inside and out.

  December 20, the day of completion...an amazing transformation! I am now the proud owner of a beautiful bathroom constructed by Devito's Home improvement of whom I highly recommend to anyone looking for quality workmanship at great prices.
