"Horizon was awesome! Derek was able to come earlier which was super helpful, and he was very thorough. He cleaned all 3 flues in my new home - pellet stove, furnace, and fireplace. Our furnace flue was almost completely clogged so I'm grateful he offered to clean that as well. He gave great recommendations for getting our pellet stove and fireplace to be usable and wrote up a proposal to replace the liner. "We took out the old tiles, removed the toilet and baseboards, and bought the tile before they came to do the installation. The work was done on 9-01-16. When I went to wash off the remaining haze a couple of days later, I discovered that the tiles were two different shades. It was obvious when they were on the floor. The person doing the installation should have seen this. We think he did but, since he didn't speak any English, might not have known how to communicate that to us. We called Pacific Stone & Tile and they said that they would come and replace the tiles that needed to be replaced. We could not match either shade of tile and had to buy two more boxes with a different shade number. Twice an appointment was made and canceled. The third one, 9-26-16, was kept and they redid the whole floor with the new tile. Before they started, all of the tiles were laid out on the garage floor to check for any variations. We had to buy the material to install the tiles, but they did not charge for any additional labor. The floor was checked before they left and everything looks fine. Tomorrow I will wash down the tiles to remove any haze and we can start thinking about getting everything back together again."

"I bought a really nice regency gas fireplace from South Shore Fireplace and couldn't have been happier with the way they treated me and completed the installation. They were the most attentive and considerate companies I approached which is why I went with them. We couldn't get the time of day from other fireplace stores. These guys were right on the ball from the start. Spent a lot of time going over the different stoves and options that go with them all. The installation was scheduled and went very well. Installers were very thorough and clean. This was a complete installation, needed the chimney as well as the stove. Everything was done perfectly and I couldn't be happier. Recently, the stove I picked had a recall and I was informed and updated by Scott as soon as he had news. This actually went on for a couple of months but Scott would contact me every couple of weeks and let me know what was going on. When the replacement part came in, they scheduled the work IMMEDIATELY and I met Jon, one of the senior techs and installers. Jon was on time, meticulous and thorough. Very clean and organized as you would expect a master craftsman to be. The repair went very well and made my stove run better than ever before. When your happy with a job someone does for you, you hardly ever write a review but something turns sour, people can't write one quick enough. When I need something done, I go online and read all the awful reviews of probably great companies so I do not hire them. This review is for all of you that are like me and come here to get the low down on a business. Do not hesitate to go with South Shore Fireplace. It is very hard to find craftsman who really care about what they do and also so nice to deal with. South Shore Fireplace will be my go to guys for the rest of my life. Love you guys - job well done and sincere thank you for your continued support throughout the years."

"The job was completed efficiently. A few hours on day 1 for demolition and a few hours on day 2 for rebuilding my chimney from the roofline up. Everything looks great and the clean up was well done."

I have used Murray Masonry for small jobs before - building a concrete perimeter, filling in stone walkways etc. This was a much more complicated job and their work was outstanding. The staff are knowledgeable, professional, on time, always helpful and cheerful! It was a delight to work with them and I will ALWAYS call on them again. They are an A+ in my book."

"Kevin (the owner) was extremely professional and did excellent work. He removed our power vent, which was hooked to an oil burning furnace. He then added a new stainless steel chimney of the best quality at a very reasonable cost to us.
He gave us a discount as our neighbor had his chimney done at the same time.

"We replaced a dated wooden mantle that was swallowed up in our living room with a 5x12 ft stone wall. Carlos was extremely helpful in material selection and mapping out the project. His quote was straightforward and accurate. His work speaks for itself as we are thrilled with the final product. I felt like Carlos respected my house, I think he was the neatest contractor I have ever used. He took out existing stone work and I was really happy about the minimal mess. I appreciate his punctuality and commitment to everything he said he would complete. I do think he charges a labor rate proportional to his results. I am sure I could have shopped a lower price, but I am equally sure I would have not been as satisfied with the entire experience. If you have a project don’t hesitate using CF Masonry."

"Joe arrived a little late, apparently the job before ours took longer than expected. However, he was otherwise great. Very polite and efficient. Cleaned after himself so well that I did not see any trace that he had been there (except that all the fireplaces and the oil furnace flue were exceptionally clean). This is the first time that we had a chimney cleaned, but I was very impressed with his overall demeanor and efficiency. I appreciated the fact that Joe was able to come on a Saturday, with very short notice. We were very happy and would recommend his service heartily."
