"Summary: The Tri-Town team was very responsive and considerate, providing reliable service and quality materials at a fair price, with timely follow-up to questions/concerns even over 6 months later. Details: Of three companies contacted for this job, Tri-Town's owner (Rick), with the assistance of their courteous office manager (Lori), was the quickest to respond and the best at following up. Both the owner and the job manager (Nick) were very patient in answering my questions about the job design and material options, including the re-use of materials that were in good shape. Given the unknowns of the job (e.g., edge rot, signs of carpenter ants), they provided an estimate that was clear about multiple contingency options. The price was fair - similar to or slightly less than the other quotations. They were willing to adjust the price for work that I could complete myself, and even worked directly with me on installing the new rail posts to ensure I didn't void the new roof warranty. Tri-Town included multiple before and after photos as part of the final invoice/report. Overall, the job was well done. Minor issues and resolution: The roof was first assessed in autumn and Tri-Town was honest in acknowledging that the work should not be done until spring to make sure temperatures were suitable for proper EPDM adhesive setting conditions. We hade to use plastic sheeting and roof patch on the old roof to help prevent further damage during the winter. But we were not forgotten - the office manager called the following spring to get the work scheduled. The work crew was slightly "rough around the edges", but probably not more so than other typical roofing companies. Flicked cigarette butts on the lawn were later picked up. A loud radio was turned down upon request and with an apology. There may be a couple roofing companies in the area that are a bit more refined, but you'll probably pay more for their matching polo shirts. A sub-contractor quickly installed the new gutter, but eye-balled an incorrect (slightly reverse) slope - however, the Tri-Town team fixed the condition within about a week of my call. Several months later, a small leak developed during heavy rains. It was near an upstairs door entry, so it may not have been directly related to Tri-Town work, but they still sent a team within about a week to re-caulk all the edges around the roof and chimney free of charge. Combined with a bit of my own door-step re-caulking, there is no more leak."

They showed up when they said they would, rescheduled because I needed to push them out a week, were polite and careful of my home, communicated well and were funny, too! I have been renovating an historic home and Superior Insulation has been here 3 times now as I am phasing in my project. Patty in the office is wonderful to work with and the owner, Jim, is easy to work with. Overall, an A from me! I am a teacher and a tough grader. lol"

"They showed up on time that morning and got to work immediately. They had a fair amount of work cut out for them, as I was converting my home from a 2-family home back to its original single-family home layout. They removed the 2 old hot water tanks that were in the basement, reconfigured the plumbing to tie everything together into 1 system, replaced a lot of shoddy plumbing done by previous homeowners, and installed a tank-less water heater. They completed the work the same day. There were no significant, unpleasant surprises. The work was completed 10 months ago, and there hasn't been an issue since."

"Glen arrived at my house promptly. He was personable, friendly, professional and very thorough. I originally was interested in having insulation blown in to the exterior walls. Glen evaluated my home. He and recommended that I concentrate on insulating the upper area of my home, as I no longer had any insulation in that area. The other contractors that came to my home never said anything about my existing issues, they just quoted a price for the blown in insulation. So I knew Glen was the person for the job. "We have mixed feelings about Comfort Windows. We purchased all new windows for our entire house and they were installed in November 2015. So far, we have not had any issues with the windows themselves. The installation took 4-5 days which seemed like alot to us at the time but they were not slacking at all and had alot of trouble getting the old windows out and the new ones in. I do not fault the team at our house at all for the length of time they spent at our house. They really worked hard. Towards the end though they were getting sloppy with the trim work inside the house. The first few windows were perfect and the other ones had sloppy cuts and poor joins. We had to have several re-done. We have all casement windows on the front of our house and one of them we've had a problem with since it was first installed. We had to have them come out 3 times before it was finally fixed. One time, I took off work to meet them and he never came. When I called them the next day, they replied that he was at my house, hours before he was scheduled, fixed the problem from the outside, and then left. He left no indication that he'd been there and was on our property without permission. When I commented that the incident was handled totally inappropriately and that the least they could have done was called to let me know NOT to take off of work, I was dismissed rudely. That definitely left a poor taste for me. The kicker was that with a casement window and the problem we were having, there is no way you can tell from the outside that the problem was fixed. So of course it wasn't and they had to come back out AGAIN. The final straw for us was when we were having the front facade replaced a year later by a different company and they showed us how poorly the outside trim was done by Comfort Windows. Had we not replaced the facade, we definitely would have had water damage eventually. Though most of their people were great and worked hard and the windows seem sturdy, I would not recommend this company to anyone. The few times I had to call the office they were very curt or downright rude and the fact that they had to come out no less than 3 times to keep repairing the same issues makes it a fail to me. I'm really hoping the windows hold up because I do not want to have to call them again!"

"The online reviews and the sales pitch were outstanding. When it came to actually doing the work, the biggest failure was the lack of communication between the design department and the project manager and the onsite carpenter. I ended up paying a lot of money and not being satisfied with the end product. The project manager blew me off and minimized my concerns and then claimed he didn't. My husband is still replacing (2 months later) baseboard and door and window casing that they were going to charge us $90/hour to refit and replace. They also installed a washer and dryer and didn't take out the shipping struts. Luckily my husband guessed that they didn't do it, so our expensive washer was not ruined. I have to pay to have the shower floor replaced, but I can't afford to do it at the moment. They claim it's the materials I chose, but I think it's the way it was installed. I dread getting into my shower now... I reached out to them to detail my experience and they said they were sorry, but didn't take any responsibility, and they didn't offer to fix it. Oh well."
