"I hired them to sweep the chimneys for my fireplace and woodburning stove. A tech arrived on time and was pleasant. However he admitted he was new to the company and industry and after looking at the fireplace and woodburning stove informed me that he was not familiar with the two systems and could not do the work. He took pictures and told me his boss- the company owner- would call me the following week to set a time for a more experienced person to do the work. They never called. I called twice and left messages that were not returned. I appreciate the fact the tech did not try and do the job he was not comfortable with and mess something up. However very disappointed they did not call back or at least return my calls. I guess they were not interested since it was a more challenging job."

"That was good! I don't believe that there were any additional costs beyond the big deal amount. It was painless and pretty routine. I used the fireplace after that, I just hadn't used it for a while. I did it more as a precautionary thing. I got scheduled right away when I called."

"Someone came out to check our interior and exterior walls. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He said there were no major leaks in the mortar that were visible and the leaks were most likely coming from behind the gutter. He explained that the gutter would need to be removed, meaning I would need to hire a roofer since they do not deal with gutters or roofing and that I would end up paying for two jobs. He suggested instead that I find a roofer that would remove the gutter who was skilled enough to do the necessary tuckpointing to save us money. He also looked at the interior damage and told us the materials to buy because we said we wanted to repair that ourselves. He was extremely helpful and gave us the most economical suggestions rather than booking repairs with them and hiring a roofer. If we need work done to our masonry or foundation only in the future, I will definitely go with Hicon."

"Other than sporadic thunder storms, everything went well. Darryl contacted me every work day to say roughly when they would arrive (usually around 9-9:30 range) and the crew worked from then until about 3-3:30ish. They power washed, scraped old paint, repaired some wood and concrete and patched glaring problems in brick. They used 2 paint colors, which involved some detail work in the dormers. All work was thorough and Darryl asked questions and made adjustments as they worked. Each day, ladders were removed from the house and carefully stored in a location on the property. Trash was not left around the lot. Darryl asked us to inspect the work right before their last day and when we sent feedback on a few things, he added some that he had noticed too. All work was fixed to his standard the final day. All of the workers were polite and respectful and the house looks great! We have already recommended this company to some neighbors up the street."

"This is a 90 year old house and the valve was original equipment. It had to be replaced but only from below by cutting a hole in the basement ceiling. Even then, the valve was built into the joists and the area to work in was about 6x10 inches and all overhead. Ben worked on this replacement for hours and he worked unbelievably hard. It was frustrating work, but I never heard him call out in anger (of course I was not with him at all times:)). He may be the ONLY tradesman capable and willing to take on a job like this in this area. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of all things fireplace. Price is very fair. Without a doubt, he is The Man.

"Knowledgeable and honest - we will use them again!
The technician was a little late, which is expected with a later appointment. However, he did a great job with the installation. He had to return the next day to finish the job as they didn't have the right connector. We weren't billed for the additional visit.

"Bob and his team did a great job.  All of the cords were neatly hidden away and the lights look great!  They seem to be firmly attached so I'm not worried about them coming down with a little wind.  It has rained a LOT since I accepted the estimate and I was out of town for a few days but Blue Sky still got to my job in a reasonable amount of time.   While Bob was installing my lights he noticed water standing in my gutter due to leaves clogging the downspout so he cleaned out my gutter for me too!  That was above and beyond the call of duty.

I've put up my lights by myself the past few years and I wasn't sure I wanted to spend a couple hundred dollars to have someone else do it.  However, I'm not that comfortable on a ladder (even though I only have a 1-story house) and this task was getting harder and harder for me to do so I decided to give Blue Sky a try.  I'm so glad I did, it was well worth the money.   My lights have never gone up so quickly and looked so good.  I will defnitely be hiring them to do my lights again next year.

"He arrived on time as promised and was professional and very helpful. I didn't have the supplies ready ahead of time because I was not sure what could be done with the closets. ?Don? went and purchased the supplies he thought he would need and offered to return what he didn't use or I could keep for future projects. The work was much more difficult than he expected and so it took a little longer than anticipated, but what woodworking project doesn't? I was very please with the completed work and would definitely hire him again."
