He spent time explaining the issues to my husband and I, showing us photos he'd taken and answering all of our questions. When Anthony came out to do the repair work, he was efficient and once again took time to discuss the work he had done with us in detail. "had been having issues with birds getting into the basement of my building. I wasn't sure how they were getting in but knew they would find themselves stuck in either the chimney cleanup or flue to my boiler and/or water heater. I had a wildlife company come out initially and he recommended I have my chimney inspected as he thought that would be the likely source of entry. I did a Google search and came across Chimney USA. I spoke with Mirna and explained my situation and she knew exactly what I was talking about. This woman is incredible. She was so thorough in explaining how and why situations like mine happens as well as knowledgeable about how the chimney system works, the components and what part they play, how to diagnose the issue, options for repair, and so forth. I mean she really knows her stuff! Needless to say, I set up an appointment to have chimney unblockage, cleaning and inspection done and she and her team did a wonderful job. They were very professional and arrived within the window of time given (9a-12). I was surprised because I wasn't expecting her to come but I'm glad she did. They worked with attentiveness, safety, and care as they wanted me the customer to have a knowledge and understanding of what was going on as they moved through the process. I was even able to go on the roof while they inspected the chimney cap which resulted in them adding a protective layer of mesh around the existing cap. The cap appeared to be the source of the problem. Anyhow we explored other options for chimney caps as well as added a cap to another opening that appeared to be an old chimney I didn't even know existed. And just to be clear, it was my idea to add the other cap and not a sales pitch to try and make more money. I wanted to make sure I was taking all precautions to avoid anything else getting into my building. Anyhow, all in all Chimney USA is a great company. I would highly recommend them if you are in need of any work related to the chimney, roof, issues with animals getting into your home, and so forth. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I felt they were a little pricey but otherwise good company, good people."

"Bryan from Pratt's was great to work with. We had not used and of our fireplaces since we bought the house a few years ago. Two of them had old gas logs and the third had never been used since the house was built. I initially called Pratt's to inspect the chimneys and to discuss options on converting one from gas logs back to wood burning and another to have some sort of updated gas option put in. Upon inspection Bryan noted that all three had damage and it would not be safe to use without repairing them. He also determined none of them needed sweeping and that in fact the one in the basement had never been used. However, this one was not capped properly so the flue had accumulate some rust over the years. He showed me live video of the inside of the chimneys to show me the damage to them and why they were not safe to use as is. He proposed options on installing a gas insert in one, relining the one we wanted to burn wood in again and replacing the flue for the one in the basement. While we selected the options we wanted for the gas insert Bryan was very responsive and took the time answer all of our questions. When it came time to do the install Bryan ran into a couple of the issues with the gas insert installation. The backing for the insert was wrong for the manufacturer but Brian was able to track a proper one down so we didn't have to wait for the correct one to be sent by the manufacturer. The other issue was related to the existing gas line into the fireplace. It stuck out slightly too far for the insert to be centered properly and the line was completely cemented into the wall so it could not be adjusted. Brian went out of his way to talk to his contacts including the manufacturer on options that could be taken to slightly and safely modify the outside of the gas insert to be able to center it. Due to his efforts they were able to properly center the insert. The insert looks and works great. The new flues and caps also look great. Definitely recommend Pratt's Chimney service."

"This was a wonderful experience!!! I contacted Henry about an awful fireplace which was all rock and spanned the entire length of the living room. The fireplace from the previous owner was not maintained. Henry immediately responded to my messages and during all times kept the communication open and professional. I did contract and the work began on time and ended on time with an amazing result. I was so impressed I also did two smaller brick areas. "Coast to Coast did an excellent job on tuck pointing the office portion of our office building. The building is approx. 30 years old. The office section of our building (approx. 7K sq. ft.) had water damage to the inside walls due to the bricks and mortar etc. on the outside of the building deteriorating due to rain and snow over the years. Romen came out to our office and spent a lot of time showing us what the problems were and recommending how he would make the repairs. After getting other estimates from other companies, we decided to use Coast to Coast. Work that was done on all three sides of our office building: removed all loose and cracked mortar joints/bricks without damaging the edges of the abutting masonry. Used commercial vacuums during the grinding operation so very little dust/debris was in the air. After cleaning and flushing with water and compressed air, any joints which were cut out were than filled with a special tuck pointing mortar. They grinded out the rust between the rusting I-Beams at the front of our building and sealed them to prevent further rusting. Waterproofed all brick and mortar work to prevent future water from coming inside. To be honest, there was even more work that was done ~ all by hand. This project took about a week. It's now been almost a year, and we have had no problems with water seeping in to the building. The work on the outside of the building (mortar/bricks etc.) matches the original construction, (which is nice)."
