Also left no paperwork about the appliance or an invoice, Any work I have had done, there was always paperwork about the work and invoices left behind. In this day and age, repair companies accept credit cards. I have never had a company that didn't. I got no response when I questioned this with an email. Sorry, but I will not use them again."

"UPDATED 10/30/2020: This is a revision of the 10/7/20 review. They did refund the overpayment and I'm glad that they have been working to make sure that they fixed the problem. They kept me informed about the schedule and arrived and checked the washing machine and determined that it was not the washing machine but I needed an electrician (When the electrician arrived after extensive searching they discovered that the problem was the sump pump) which has now been repaired). They quoted me a fee for the service call. While they were there I asked them about another appliance I was having trouble with. They took a peek and indicated what they thought was the matter and what would be needed for the repair. They gave me a bill for the quoted repair and I paid it by charge card. I was shocked to see that I was charged double the amount I was quoted when I looked at my credit card statement. I'm not sure if they charged me double because they looked at the other appliance, if it was a mistake or something else but I wish they had informed me that I was being charged more. As for the would I hire again I wish there was a maybe button."

He and his call center/staff are just amazing people and understand the definition of GOOD customer service and complimented that with solid work. "Tech came out on Friday 11/22/24 at 6:00 which was after I was home from work. Quickly diagnosed problem and told me a dryer fuse had burned out. He came out the next day and repaired the dryer very quickly and cleaned up. Now I could have opted to replace just that fuse but he told me there were 3 fuses and the other fuses could go anytime as the dryer was at least 15 years old. It would have been cheaper just to replace the one fuse but i told him to replace all 3. That would have been penny wise & dollar foolish as if another fuse went that would have been another service call fee from that company or another plus the cost of parts & labor. I was also advised to have the dryer cleaned every 2 years which I will do. I'll probably look into how to do it myself as I am pretty handy and always looking to save money. It was a lot of money to pay for the repair at once but cheaper then a home warranty. I have had bad experiences with more then one home warranty company and have cancelled as a result. Also home warranty companies choose the service provider for you and I haven't been impressed with some of them. My advice to anyone paying a home warranty company every month would be to take that $60 or more you pay every month to them and put it in a savings account for emergency's including home appliance repair. Also on top of the monthly payment when you need them there is a service fee to pay before they come out."

Appliance Repair Technicians maybe competent to repair other brands, but if you have an LG appliance, you are much better off going with their factory-authorized service.

My 6-year old LG front-loading washer was stopping mid-cycle and would not complete a load.  I called two other repair companies who said they did not service LG, so I thought myself lucky that Appliance Repair LLC said they would service it, and I made an appointment for Monday afternoon between 1 and 3 pm.  When the technician did not show or call by 3:30, I called the office and was told that he was detained on an earlier repair that had taken longer than expected, and he would not be able to come until the following day. Although I am retired and can stay home to wait on repairmen, this is still inexcusable in my book, as most customers must take off work for repairs.  The technician arrived on schedule the next day, and recommended replacing the  sensor assembly, at a cost of $280. I reminded him that the motor was making a groaning noise as it attempted to turn the drum, which suggested to me that the problem was with the motor, not the electronics.  He assured me that replacing the sensor would correct the problem. After he replaced the sensor, tested the washer without any load, and left, I attempted to do a load of laundry.  The same problems occurred, and I called the company back. They sent the technician out again two days later, who then confirmed that the motor was the cause of the problem. That would have been another $360 repair, so I elected to replace the machine instead. To their credit, Appliance Repair did refund the difference between the initial charge and the basic service call charge, so my final cost was $60.

While researching a new machine, I noticed that the motors on LG washers have very extensive warranties on their motors. When the Appliance Repair technician asked if the washer was under warranty, I replied that it was 6 years old. He did not suggest that anything might still be under warranty, but it turned out that the motor had a 7-year warranty. I called the LG service line, and was told I would be charged only for labor to install the new motor.  They dispatched a technician the next business day, who confirmed the motor was defective and also under warranty. He also pointed out that one of the three drum supports was broken.  These are shock absorbers that support the drum of a front-loading washer as it does its fancy turns. If one is broken, the drum is unbalanced and won?t turn properly, which was the cause of the burnt-out motor. He seemed surprised that the previous technician had not reported this, as it was clearly visible with the washer back open for service. He replaced the motor, broken support, and a third item he found, for $267, and the washer worked perfectly.

Well, my husband and I go to bed quit early (seniors), and I think the service started around 9 pm.  Once he got started and finished he did a great job!!  He was on time 9 pm and did a thorough job but we was so sleepy we didn't test until the next day.

We have young adult children, so we were very patient and was proud that young adults take their work so serious no matter what time it is, our children are his age.

He was a young man, so I guess when we all are young we can stay up late.

Again, he was polite and knew exactly what the problem was.  We rate him an A.
