"We moved from NY to GA to be near family?my wife is a disabled veteran battling cancer. We bought a home near her mom, hoping for stability. The upstairs AC wasn?t working, and Hammock?s stickers were all over the HVAC, so I assumed they?d serviced it. On 9/9, a tech diagnosed a bad transformer ($300) and added 3 lbs of refrigerant ($580). The invoice only listed 1 lb. The AC stopped working 45 minutes later. On 9/11, another tech said the transformer blew again and the first tech shouldn?t have serviced it. Fred came to quote a new system for $8,000 and said we?d lose the $880 if we didn?t replace it in 7 days. He was dismissive when I explained our situation. I followed up?calls, emails, voicemails?but got no response. Later, I found they left furnace covers off and exposed live wires. I sent photos. Their reply: ?We can send someone to put the covers back on but won?t refund you.? We paid $880 for 45 minutes of AC and were left with a dangerous setup."
