"The company rapidly responded to the service request and booked an appointment with me in a timely fashion. Technician, John, arrived on time and did call 20-30 minutes prior to arrival. He was polite, profession and respected the property. Quickly diagnosed the issue and provided me with several options after showing me and explaining the issue with the fireplace. Fortunately the parts were in his truck and he was able to quickly effect a repair. Everything was cleaned up and he even cleaned the fireplace glass insert (this is a natural gas fireplace). "Inspection was very extensive inside and out. Various cracks in the flue as well as the bricks. The technician ( Drew) was very professional with the explanation of the extent of the damage. I agreed to have it taken care of inside and out. Made the appointment. Each day the tech would call to alert me with arrival time. They (Drew, Wayne & Harry) removed the old flue and the firebrick in the fireplace. Replaced with new brick and a stainless steel liner. Replaced about 20 brick on the outside and applied water repellent to the brick. Added a new chimney cap. The technicians were extremely polite and thorough. Would use again."

"The technicians redid the bricks so that you couldn't even tell they were repaired. It looked beautiful. They put in a new liner in the chimney and waterproofed it. They redid the inside of the fireplace to bring it up to code and put in a chain that easily opens and closes the flue. It looks so good and easy that I may decide to use the fireplace again. They redid the pipes in the basement so the fumes from the boiler and hot water heater went up the chimney in the correct way. There had been water damage and they corrected the damage and closed off the hole in the wall (foundation) and made a bigger hole in the correct place so that everything was up to code. They were polite, efficient and worked very hard to get the work done in the promised two days. I have interviewed many companies and found this company to be straight-forward in telling me what they would do and didn't try to tell me they were giving me a "good deal." Rather I feel they gave me an honest estimate on what needed to be done and didn't try to pressure me into using their company. They did give me 10% off because I was an Angie's List customer. What company to use was a hard decision for me because I knew nothing about chimney repair. Because so much of the repair was inside the chimney I couldn't tell what they had done. Based on my experience I feel they did a good job. I don't have a picture of the repaired chimney but it looks great--better than it did before the bricks fell. If someone wants more detail I can copy exactly what they did from the invoice. Also, maybe the company can show a picture of the finished product. Since it is summer time I haven't had any experience using the chimney but will let you know how things work out during the winter."

"We were extremely happy that we chose this company. Mr. DiFatta was the most professional mason of all the masons we asked for an estimate. He came over promptly, and he explained the reasons behind each repair thoroughly. His crew also had high standards for professional work; if something didn't look right near their repairs, they fixed it at no cost even if it was not part of the original contract. Mr. DiFatta also offered very affordable fixes to a few minor problems on other areas of the house (this was not an upsell -- these were problems that we thought would be too expensive to fix this year, and he did them for a fraction of what we expected). We would absolutely call this company again for masonry in the future. They are not necessarily the cheapest option, but their professionalism is well worth it; you often get what you pay for."
