"Having my exterior walls insulated with NW Insulation really could have not gone better. First, I had the estimator come out just a couple days after I called, he spent an hour or so going over my house & checking the insulation and then figured out the estimate. I was shocked, with the PSE rebate, which NW Insulation takes care of, the estimate was thousands less than I thought it would be! I signed up, and a day or so later I got a call to schedule the install, again, surprisingly, they could do it right away and I scheduled for about a week out. The installers got to my house about 8am and were very polite and professional. They basically worked all day, got the job done, and were on their way. They left everything clean and it is amazing to me how the house looked when they were done. They blew in the insulation from the exterior and the method that they used left no trace, they removed a course of siding, drilled holes, filled the walls, plugged the holes, and replaced the siding"

"Simon did a wonderful job. We called up on Friday and were able to be squeezed in that Sunday. He inspected the furnace and all the vents in the house. He took pictures, then explained what needed to be done and the pricing for the services. He let me know how long he estimated it would take and went to work quickly on the house. All the vents were cleaned out and sterilized. Simon was so helpful in letting us know his opinions on the house filter and furnace. Two things that we needed expert opinions on. He probably saved us a few thousand dollars in unneeded expenses. Already the house smells and feels cleaner. So thankful that my husband scheduled Starducts. We will definely use this company again. "Jon and his crew were great. They showed up on time, laid down floor protection and did exactly what we had discussed. And they even did more when asked. The great part was that they had to bag up all the plaster and old insulation and carry it through the front of the house. They took great care in making sure there was a cardboard path laid out, that the bags didn't leak and that there was as little dust and debris hitting the first floor as possible. Overall, I would recommend them highly and hire the company again.

"Day before job, truck with the roofing materials delivered and placed on roof.  First thing next morning, dumpster came and was very gently put in place.  At the same time 4 men started removing old roof.  Very professional and thorough.  During the day another man was picking up and sweeping all around the house and gardens.  No damage to my plants or trees.  My house is small, only about 1450 SF, so by the end of the day, they were about 90% done.  today, they're here completing the job and an extra bonus is that they are cleaning my gutters and putting flashing around the chimney.  Cleaning all around the house.

Can't say enough, they were just terrific.  And thank God, the weather held, no rain.  Really have it down to a science.

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"I had used Carlstrom before to do an overall remodel of house, but had overlooked the upstairs bathroom needing a shower. When I realized I needed this done I called Colton and Sean, who are both a delight to work with, and asked them if they could get it done by April 10 - about two weeks from time of phone call. The job was difficult because the bathroom was under the eaves, leaving no standing room for a shower. I talked it over with Colton for some time and we finally decided the best thing would be to install a dormer to make more space in the bathroom. Sean started work about one week later and he made everything very easy for me by going to Home Depot and looking at the tub and tiling options for me and picking up most of these things himself. When I realized I needed to add in a heater and skylight Sean took it all in stride. Best of all was the marmoleum floor I had just installed six weeks before came out without a scratch! Sean did an excellent job of protecting it despite all the plumbing, tiling, etc. I think Sean undercharged me for all the additional work he did, and on top of that he finished the project 3 days early. From the outside the dormer looks as if it were always part of my house (a 1912 bungalow in Wallingford)."

"They custom make the windows and Fed-Ex them to you. We installed them ourselves to save money. Once we put them in, we couldn't hear outside noise anymore. It made a world of difference. I think it has also helped insulate my home a little. For the cost, I think it would have been twice as much to have the windows replaced."
