Our neighborhood had applied for a Neighborhood Partnering Program grant from the City of Austin Public Works Department, a program that supports community initiated projects with matching funds from the community.  After hearing our story, owner Jaye Stark offered an in-kind donation for the labor on the project.  Because this is a cost sharing program, the $3600 value attached to the labor both decreased the total cost of the project AND counted toward our match.  Mason Man's contribution helped us to win the grant!

Since everything with the City seems to take a really long time, Jaye has been super patient with the delays, but once we got the green light, he was able to get us on his schedule fairly quickly.  His guys really did great work and paid close attention to detail with the pattern and color of the natural stone.

I highly recommend Mason Man for any masonry/stone work!  They are good people and do great work!

"This is the second job that Fine Floors has done for us.  Ash was very helpful from the beginning to the end, he allowed me to take several samples home and even made some very helpful suggestions.  Jose and his team did an amazing job on the installation and clean up afterward.  Jose went above and beyond helping me choose grout colors and the direction to lay the tile.  Fantastic job, and great prices, will definitely use them again!"

"We met at the site and hit off our conversation with confidence and thorough info.  He did exactly what we agreed upon, especially with care consideration of this 100+ year old brick building.  On same building but on another project we had him involved with other contractors to discussed plan of action with genuine cooperation."

"They removed the existing stone and cleaned the stone to reuse. They laid a 18"x18" concrete footer. They then rebuilt the stone wall using the existing stone and some additional new stones. They then gave it an acid wash for the final step. The wall is beautiful and built to last a life time."

"Patryk and Roman are very easy to work with and very responsive to your needs. They do quality work at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend them for any household job you have. We've had them remodel a bathroom and utility room and converted a formal dining area in to an office. They've installed flooring, and have repainted most of of the inside of the house. And we plan to have them do more work."

FAQs for brick or stone fireplace installation projects in Farmersville, TX

A chimney liner lasts between 15 and 25 years, depending on the material. Aluminum liners last about five years, while cast-in-place liners can last up to 50 years. Regular professional inspections can reveal signs of deterioration, such as cracking or crumbling chimney walls, ensuring necessary repairs are made to maintain structural safety and efficiency.

Yes, a chimney liner is essential. It prevents dangerous heat and toxic gases from reaching surrounding materials, reducing fire risks and structural damage. A well-installed liner safeguards your masonry, directs harmful emissions outside, and enhances heating efficiency. Regular inspections and cleaning maintain your chimney liner’s performance, keeping your home secure and energy-efficient.

Creosote buildup occurs when burning wood releases tar that adheres to the chimney liner, posing a fire hazard. Regular professional chimney inspections and cleanings by qualified chimney sweeps will effectively manage creosote deposits, preventing dangerous conditions and costly repairs.
